ROUND 2 INTERVIEW March 23, 2018

SEUNGSU HAN ( -10)

Q. Just talk about your round today and being in contention at 10 under.

SEUNGSU HAN: Yeah, kind of got off to a rocky start today, but I was just trying to stay patient and I was able to make a couple birdies on my front, and then got off to a good -- or finished well on my back side.

Q. Three birdies to close. Can you kind of describe those?

SEUNGSU HAN: I was a little bit irritated because I left a few out there. I felt like I was giving myself a lot of looks and then I just wasn't converting, so I just told myself to just commit and stay focused the last three holes. Yeah, just worked out great.

Q. First impression of the course when you got here kind of early in the week, what did you think of it?

SEUNGSU HAN: It was hot.

Q. That's fair.

SEUNGSU HAN: I'm just getting over a cold so trying to deal with the weather. I think the course is pretty forgiving obviously, but it's in great shape, just it's really nice with the view and everything. I knew it was going to be a lot of birdies out there, but yeah, it's fun, it's fun playing out here.

Q. You've won around the world before on professional golf tours. Do you feel like this is a similar scenario or do you feel like this is kind of a new type of scenario for you being in the lead in a PGA TOUR event?

SEUNGSU HAN: Obviously it's special, the fact that it's the PGA TOUR, but as far as golf goes, I think nothing really changes. I'm still just trying to do the same thing when I'm on the course. But it's definitely a lot of fun, the fact that it's the PGA TOUR.

Q. You've been playing on the and you won there and had a number of top-5 finishes. What's that experience been like for you and how different is it playing there than it is playing elsewhere?

SEUNGSU HAN: Like I said, golf, I think once I'm on the I try to keep things the same. Obviously off the course, like I'm just seeing different faces out here.

Q. Has it been a learning experience for you?

SEUNGSU HAN: Oh, yeah, yeah, definitely. That was my mindset coming in here. I was just really glad to even have the chance to compete out here. I got in at the very last minute and I was just very thankful to be here. I have my family here and everything. It's nice to see some familiar faces as well. I grew up playing junior golf with a lot of guys out here. That's been the thing.

Q. Who are some of those guys?

SEUNGSU HAN: Man, there's a lot.

Q. There's a lot? Okay.

SEUNGSU HAN: Like Brendan Todd, Bronson, Cameron Tringale, a lot of guys.

Q. So it's been a while since you've seen them?

SEUNGSU HAN: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I haven't played in America in, I don't know, four, five years or more. So yeah, it's been a while.

Q. Is that something you would like to do more if the opportunity --

SEUNGSU HAN: Definitely, yeah. I don't know where I'm going to be, but ideally yes, that would be -- it's always been a dream of mine to play out here. This is my third event.

Q. On the PGA TOUR?

SEUNGSU HAN: Yeah. I played one when I was 16.

Q. That was at Travelers, right?

SEUNGSU HAN: At the Travelers. That was a lot of fun.

Q. And at Reno because of your connection with UNLV?

SEUNGSU HAN: No, I Mondayed into Reno, and then I got a spot here. But yeah, wherever it is, I'm just trying to have fun and keep it the same.

Q. One more for me. Have there been any golfers here this week that you've been like, oh, wow, it's really cool to meet you, or anyone like that? There's some major champs in the field.

SEUNGSU HAN: Right. Obviously Jim Furyk, he stands out. I remember watching Davis Love III when I was playing at Sea Island at a junior tournament, he was doing a clinic for us.

Just a lot of memories. And obviously KJ, he's the Korean legend. Those guys stand out, for sure.

Q. Do you know anything about Xinjun Zhang, who you're tied with at the present?

SEUNGSU HAN: No, I've never -- my daughter kind of became friends with his daughter this week.

Q. Are they around the same age?

SEUNGSU HAN: I think, yeah.

Q. In the pool, right?

SEUNGSU HAN: In the pool. And they actually have the same bib, I don't know how, so they became friends. No, I don't really know him.

Q. She's a year and a half. Is that how old yours is?

SEUNGSU HAN: She's two and a half.

Q. We just talked to him about experiences at the pool. Just from the resort standpoint, you've been there, you've spent time at the pool. Have you managed to do anything else around the resort?

SEUNGSU HAN: No, we drove out to the village, to the mall for dinner a couple times. Obviously had the players' barbecue on the beach. I went to the beach a couple times, so it's obviously really nice, just after you go back, the ocean --

Q. Easy to relax?

SEUNGSU HAN: Yeah, yeah.
