It is not intended as an in depth study of the area or people. The guide is divided into two parts. The first discusses the Soviet successor states. The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is treated as a separate entity of the Soviet successor states. Several pages on the organization of the CIS precede the Russian section in which Soviet history is discussed. Next each of the successor states are discussed. These are arranged alphabetically and include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldava, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. These are followed by a bibliography for Soviet successor states. The second section is Eastern Europe. The countries listed here are Albania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and the Slovak Republic. The countries of former Yugoslavia are arranged alphabetically, Bosnia and Hercogovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, and Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), and grouped as South Slaves. A section on Yugoslavia history and South Slav chronology follows. A bibliography for Eastern Europe ends the section. A map precedes the discussion of each country. This is not intended to be an in-depth study of these countries and their people. Since the guide was first produced by the Russian and East European Institute staff, it has gone through many permutations. This is very much a collective effort, and as such, compromises have been made both due to time and human resource constraints, and as a direct effect of the constantly changing picture of this area of the world. The faculty and graduate students of the Russian and East European Institute have been contributing their time and talents to this project for almost ten years. Each year, we hope it will get easier: it continues to be more difficult. Editorial and organizational decisions have been made in the spirit of providing information. Therefore, the as is still treated as a separate entity as the Soviet Successor States, though the Baltic States are treated as individual countries within the Eastern Europe section. The countries of former Yugoslavia are arranged alphabetically and grouped as South Slays, though one could argue that this should be changed, and no doubt in the next version of this guide it will be. The efforts of the REEL staff have been to keep the guide current, not to provide analysis of the issues at hand. The common issues of political and economic reform are discussed in each country section. The guide's aim is to provide a historical context in which to understand the current events in the countries of Eastern Europe and the Soviet successor states. To the extent that we might make the task of the teacher easier by providing such a frame of reference from which to build lesson plans, then we have succeeded in accomplishing our mission. We welcome suggestions for future editions. The few pages on the organization of the CIS precede the Russia section (in which Soviet history is discussed), followed by the successor states (arranged alphabetically), and then by Eastern Europe (arranged alphabetically). Each country chapter is individually paginated (hopes were to have a looseleaf document to which updated chronologies could be added each year). The chronologies of each country chapter are taken primarily from the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Research Institute Reports. Throughout the guide references have been made to audio-visual materials appropriate to specific issues or countries, but this is not an exhaustive reference. Teachers are encouraged to request the REEI Resource Guide to Teaching Aids in Russian and East European Studies Available for Loan or Rent from Indiana University. Niggle, REEL Outreach Coordinator from 1984 to 1989. REEI graduate assistants contributing their talents to the original document (1986-87) included Robinaisha, Melissa Bokovoy and Phyllis Schrock. Eastern Europe additions and revisions were effected in 1988-89 through graduate assistants Tim Costello, John Cox, Shaun Gelsinger and Sue Panek. A major revision of the guide was carried out in April 1990 under the direction of Ellie Valentine by REEL Graduate Assistants Bryan Costello, D. Michael DeLuca, Suzanne Polak, and Larry Wright, continued in 1991 by Vince Comerchero, Mary Dakin, Diane Kraft and Suzanne Polak. Linda Dausch, Suzanne Dietrich, Jeff Pennington and William McFadden tackled the 1992 revisions.     BAB I PENDAHULUAN I.1. LATAR BELAKANG MASALAH Kawasan Pantai Utara Jakarta merupakan kawasan strategis bagi DKI Jakarta, baik sebagai ibukota provinsi sekaligus sebagai ibukota negara. Areal sepanjang pantai sekitar 32 km tersebut merupakan pintu gerbang dari arah laut, dengan berbagai aktivitas masyarakat dan pembangunan yang sangat beragam, termasuk objek-objek vital yang ada di kawasan tersebut. Oleh sebab itu hal yang wajar apabila, Pantai Utara Jakarta ditetapkan sebagai Kawasan Strategis Provinsi dan hal ini juga sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 26 tahun 2007 tentang Penataan Ruang (Pasal 10 Ayat 1) yang mengatur bahwa setiap provinsi berwenang untuk menetapkan Kawasan Strategis Provinsi maka berdasarkan RTRW Provinsi DKI Jakarta 2030, Pantai Utara Jakarta ditetapkan sebagai Kawasan Strategis Provinsi. Kawasan Pantai Utara (Pantura) pada awalnya dikategorikan sebagai Kawasan Andalan, yaitu kawasan yang mempunyai nilai strategis dipandang dari sudut pandang ekonomi dan perkembangan kota, berdasarkan Keppres Nomor 17 tahun 1994. Upaya untuk mewujudkan fungsi Kawasan Pantai Utara Jakarta sebagai Kawasan Andalan, dapat dilakukan melalui reklamasi pantai utara sekaligus menata ruang daratan pantai yang ada secara terarah dan terpadu, merupakan nomenklatur dari ditetapkannya Keppres Nomor 52 tahun 1995 tentang Reklamasi Pantai Utara Jakarta. Berdasarkan Peraturan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Nomor 121 Tahun 2012 Tentang Penataan Ruang Kawasan Reklamasi Pantai Utara Jakarta yang dikeluarkan oleh Gubernur pada saat itu adalah Gubernur Fauzi Bowo yaitu pada tanggal 19 September 2012 menjelaskan bahwa Proyek Reklamasi Pantai Utara Jakarta atau yang dikenal dengan Mega Proyek Giant Sea Wall merupakan proyek pembuatan 17 pulau di kawasan teluk Jakarta. Dalam Peraturan Gubernur tersebut juga tercantum rencana kependudukan, rencana 1 UPN "VETERAN" JAKARTA 2 sistem pengelolaan limbah, rencana sistem pembangkit listrik dan ketersediaan air bersih serta berbagai rencana sistem lainnya.

The paper analyzes Turkic glosses in Hungarian and Polish post/mediaeval texts from the point of view of their correlation with historical events, and of their com- patibility with the Piotrovskij-Altmann law. The correspondence is found to be very good in both cases. A slight modification is proposed to the equation to lend more lin- guistic significance to one of the coefficients. 0 Rationale The goal of the present paper is twofold. On one hand, it continues the work pioneered by Karl-Heinz Best (Best/Kohlhase 1983, Best 2003, 2006, 2008, 2010 and others), of collecting empirical evidence for the so-called Piotrovskij-Alt- mann law. By providing Hungarian and Polish data, it also adds to the issue of Turkic influence in Europe, first discussed quantitatively in Best (2005) using the example of German. On the other hand, it attempts to show how the quantitative and qualitative " ' ' ' K & '+ &D 8T 6 worked to demonstrate this to a more traditionalistic audience (1990: 371). My aim here is to illustrate how the quantitative approach can reveal a general ten- dency in a collection of detailed observations gathered and explained with the philological method. The present article presents a short history, concise and concentrated, of the evolution of geopolitical relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, which have been influenced by a series of vectors, particularly active on this side of the continent. At the same time, we chose to present the “privileged” relationship between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, in light of the primary grievance of the relation between the two states, that of the return of Romanian territories to their Motherland. In the final part of the article, we have considered the presentation of a few possible ways of bringing the two states closer useful and we took the liberty of drawing forecasts, possible but not necessary certain, on the prospective evolution of these relations.
