Temple Israel of Riverhead 7 December 2017 Baby Naming

On November 4, 2017, family, friends, and Temple Israel congregation members gathered for the baby naming of Pauline Ray Israel. It was a wonderful occasion, enjoyed by all! Proud parents Stephanie and Isaac (Ike) Israel named their beauti- ful daughter Pauline (Hebrew name Palumba, for great- grandmother Pauline and great-grandfather Ray.) Rabbi Rascoe performed a lovely service with grandmothers Barbara Smith and Lisa Israel on the bima as gabbaim.

The morning concluded with a lavish luncheon served downstairs in the social hall, overflowing with family, friends, congregants, and lots of love. A memorable event in which we share in the simchas of our congregants. A hearty Mazel Tov to Stepha- nie, Ike, beautiful Pauline, and the entire Israel and Smith families!

Parker Jewish Institute Mobile Adult Day Care Program Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabili- tation is proud to announce a new and innovative so- cial adult day program for older adults on Eastern Long Island, offered under a grant from the UJA Fed- eration of New York. The purpose of this program is to provide relief for caregivers who need a break, while at the same time providing meaningful activi- ties for their loved ones. Parker’s mobile adult day care program offers an array of therapeutic activities that en- hance quality of life, enabling participants to make new friends and remain active. Ac- tivities include music, art, current events discussion, trivia, and more. During this time, caregivers have free time to relax, run errands, keep an appointment, or spend time with friends and family; with the peace of mind of knowing that their loved one is under the supervision of a professional-care staff. This is an opportunity for caregivers to find relief and respite, while their loved ones participate in activities that enhance quality of life, increase socialization, form new connections, and encourage them to remain active. Applications are currently being accepted. Interested parties can call for more information at: (718) 289-2102
