BEFORE MAMMA MIA THERE HAD BEEN SHOWS THAT USED POPULAR MUSIC BUT THEY WERE MOSTLY REVUES WITH NO PLOT OR A BIOGRAPHICAL TRIBUTE TO A SINGLE ARTIST. BUT MAMMA MIA WAS AN ORIGINAL PLOT THAT USED THE MUSIC OF THE BAND ABBA TO HELP TELL THE STORY. After MAMMA MIA opened there were laws.
