Doimukh Sub-Divisional headquarters under Papum Pare District including settlements/ colonies/ sectors/clusters of Rono, Amba, Huto, Sangri, 'A' Sector, 'B' Sector, 'C' Sector, NEEPCO Complex, Rajiv Gandhi University Campus, Kolma, Yurkum, Taying Tarang, Medical Colony, Project Director Office Complex and New Medical Complex measuring total area of 4.58 SqKm. 2. Raga Sub-Divisional headquarters under Lower Subansiri District including settlements/ colonies/ sectors/clusters of Raga-I (Midpu Pada-I, Midpu Pada-Il, Forest Colony, Lepa Pada), Raga-II (Forest Plantation, Ronyi Pada, Dejir Pada, Education Colony, Old Medical Colony) Raga-III (Koto Colony, Old Bazaar, SSB Colony) Yada (ADC Office Complex, V.K.V School, Huto School, General Ground and Government land and establishments at Yada) measuring total area of 6.00 SqKm. 3. Pangin, District Headquarter of Siang District including settlements/ colonies/ sectors/ landmarks/ clusters of Pangin, Perang, Lampang, Bolek and Bolon measuring total area of 5.50 Sqkm. 4. Kimin Sub-Divisional headquarters under Papum Pare District including settlements/ colonies/ sectors/ landmarks/clusters/sectors of Kimin Headquarter, Santinagar, Kudh, Model village, Deep, Durpa-I, Durpa-II, Bada Lake, 10th ITBP Complex and Recruit Training Centre of ITBP measuring total area of 6.50 Sqkm. Applicability of Notification : The notification and demarcation of "Urban Areas" shall be applicable to:- (a) Implementation of various Urban Development and Town Planning policies and programmes of the Government of India and Government of Arunachal Pradesh. (b) Extension and enforcement of Arunachal Pradesh Urban & Country Planning Act, 2007 (Act No. 3 of 2008) thereby regulating the growth and development of the town by having a approved master plan indicating the various land use, services and infrastructure development plan. (c) Extension and enforcement of Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 2007 (Act No.4 of 2008) thereby constituting the Urban Local Bodies, Defining jurisdiction of Urban Local Bodies of municipalities and municipal corporations and Panchayati Raj Institutions. (d) Extension and Enforcement of Arunachal Pradesh, Building Bye-Laws, 2010. The Pradesh is known to be rich in flora, fauna, power and mineral potential. When the 1971 Census was taken in Arunachal Pradesh, the -area -was known as the North . East Frontier Agency (NEFA) in short which was constitutionally a part of the State of Assam. At that time NEFA was directly administered by the President of India through the Governor of Assam as his agent, who was assisted by an Adviser. The Office of the Adviser to the Governor of Assam was situated at Shillong, the former Capital of the Assam State now the Capital of Meghalaya. On 21st January, 1972 NEFA was given the status of a Union Territory under the provision of the North-Eastern Areas (Reorgani­ sation) Act, 1971. (8 of 1971) and placed under the charge of a Chief Commissioner with his headquarters at Shillong. When NEFA became a Union Territory in January, 1972 and renamed as Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar w-as selected as its Capital.

    1 2 Centre for Endangered Languages The Centre for Endangered Languages, Rajiv Gandhi University, is a University Grant Commission sponsored centre. The Centre was has been actively functioning since 2016. The main purpose of CFEL, RGU is its multidisciplinary approach. The research team comprises of scholars from linguistics, anthropology, folklore, tribal studies and mass communication. Presently, the Centre is focusing on field survey, documentation, and analysis of the critically endangered languages of Arunachal Pradesh. It is also studying these speech communities in their socio-cultural contexts. The Centre successfully carried out four field studies and documentations in the remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh. It also successfully conducted four workshops related to language and cultural documentation. Two monographs on Tangam and Kasik/Khapa are in publication process. The Centre has also produced an award winning Documentary Film ‘Ngok Miri Dekke Yoyo-Gaga Goktuanam Kiding’ (Those songs & lullabies I used to sing) by Kombong Darang. The Centre is working on more short films, monographs and awareness programmes with the purpose of making eminent academic contributions. 2015- 2016 A total amount of 1 Crore and 80 Lakhs was sanctioned by UGC on April 2014 for the Centre and the first installment of Rs. 90 Lakhs was received during August 2015 and the following activities have been carried out by the centre during 2015- 2016. ➢ APPOINTMENT OF THE COORDINATOR: Rajiv Gandhi University have appointed Prof. Simon John Arunachal Institute of Tribal Studies as the coordinator of the Center for Endangered languages. ➢ NOTIFICATION FOR THE RECRUITMENT: The centre advertised the positions of Research Associates (2), Senior Research Fellows (2), Documentation officer cum Archivist (1), Junior Research Fellows (2) and a Multi tasking staff.

CHELA (KOLORIANG) HEP is one of these projects and is proposed on Kurung River in KurungKumey district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project envisages utilization of water of the Kurung River, a tributary of Subansiri River, by constructing a 28m high barrage at El ± 870 m to divert the water to water conductor system.
