Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed The Stewards imposed the following penalties: • A 5 second Time Penalty on Car #8, Andrew Jones, for a false start; • A PLP on Car #4, Jack Perkins, for a Driving Infringement (Reckless Driving – contact with Car #1, Garry Jacobson, at Turn 11 on Lap 2); and • A post-race PLP (25 seconds) on Car #26, Shae Davies, for a Driving Infringement (Reckless Driving – contact with Car #28, Jack Le Brocq, at Turn 2 on Lap 19). ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Matters from Qualifying for Race 2: Race Director Incident Determinations At the request of Car #15, the Race Director conducted a post-race investigation into an allegation that Car #44 impeded him in qualifying and determined the Incident did not warrant referral to the Stewards as he was not able to establish a breach of the rules. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed Following a post-session DRD investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #54, Nathan Morcom (impeding of Car #4 between Turn 11 and Turn 12 during Qualifying for Race 2), the Stewards imposed the Penalty of the Loss of 3 Grid Spots on Car #54, Nathan Morcom, for Race 2. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed For causing a Red Flag in qualifying, Car #88, Paul Dumbrell, had its fastest lap in the session deleted and was not permitted to take further part in the session. Matters from Race 1: Race Director Incident Determinations The Race Director conducted post-race investigations into the following Incidents and determined they did not warrant referral to the Stewards as he could not establish any breach of the rules: • The Incident involving contact between Car #1, Garry Jacobson, and Car #28, Jack Le Brocq, at Turn 1 on Lap 1; • The Incident involving contact between Car #18, Matt Chahda, and Car #55, Kurt Kostecki, at Turn 2 on Lap 1; and • The Incident involving contact between Car #54, Nathan Morcom, and Car #67, Anton De Pasquale, at Turn 1 on Lap 1.
