When the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) was started in 1977, it was Mr. Ford who provided the trust its first office on Sand Hill Road. In 2006, POST moved offices to Palo Alto. The trust has helped to save more than 75,000 acres of open space and parkland in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties, according to Marti Tedesco, spokeswoman for POST. “We’re so grateful that we have partners like the Sand
