Notice of Making of an Order Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 – Section 53 The County of Somerset Definitive Map and Statement Axbridge Rural District North Somerset District Council 1. Upgrade of Footpath AX3/45 to Bridleway AX3/45 (From Riverside Banwell to the Lane to Waterloo Farm Banwell) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order No 1 2019. 2. Addition of Bridleway AX3/58 and Bridleway AX3/57 (Silver Moor Lane to Lane off Moor Rd Banwell) Definitive Map Modification Order No 2 2019. 3. Upgrade of part of Footpath AX3/29 to Bridleway AX3/29 and addition of Bridleway AX3/56 (From Moor Road Banwell to junction with Bridleway AX3/58) Definitive Map Modification Order No 3 2019. 4. Addition of Bridleway AX3/61 (Loop joining Bridleway AX3/58 and Bridleway AX3/57 Banwell) Definitive Map Modification Order No 4 2019 The above Orders made on 25 April 2019, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by upgrading Footpath AX3/45 to Bridleway AX3/45, part of Footpath AX3/29 to Bridleway AX3/29 and creating Bridleways AX3/56, AX3/58, AX3/57 and AX3/61. These are detailed as follows: Bridleway AX3/45 from grid ref ST39811 61114 in a north north westerly direction for approximately 1092 metres to ST38966 61786. Bridleway AX3/58 from ST38801 61837 in a south south easterly direction for approximately 931 metres to ST38980 61066. Bridleway AX3/57 from ST38980 61066 in a south easterly, the southerly direction for approximately 774 metres to ST 39287 60425. Bridleway AX3/29 from ST39515 61076 in a north westerly direction for approximately 221 metres to ST39342 61213. Bridleway AX3/56 from ST39342 61213 in a north westerly direction for approximately 548 metres to ST38906 61547. Bridleway AX3/61 from ST38980 61066 in a south then south easterly direction for approximately 760 metres to ST39287 60425. A copy of these Orders and Order maps together with the Explanatory Statement may be seen free of charge at the reception of council offices, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ or may be viewed at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices. A copy is also available for inspection at Banwell Parish Council, Banwell Children Centre, West Street, Banwell during normal opening hours (viewing appointments can be made 01934 820 442). A copy can be obtained from North Somerset Council at the price of £6.70 if collected and £8 if posted out. Any representation or objection relating to these Orders must be sent in writing to Director of Development and Environment, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ not later than 13 June 2019, applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to these Orders, or to any part of them, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Somerset Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order). If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, in whole or in part, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public resulting from construction works and will become operative on the 29 April 2019 for a maximum period of 6 months. Alternative route - footpath LA12/12 westwards towards Yanley, pass under the A370, then turn right and follow the Festival Way cycle track to the junction with footpath LA12/12a, then turn right and follow the footway LA12/12/a, and vice versa. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Truespeed Communications Ltd to install fibre optic equipment. This will become operative on 17 June 2019 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Schedule - Highridge Road from outside property Lower Grove Farm for approximately 180m in a northerly direction to opposite property Windy Ridge. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Gigaclear Limited to install fibre optic equipment. This will become operative on 25 June 2019 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 9 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
