Publiceringen sker open access, vilket innebär att arbetet blir fritt tillgängligt att läsa och ladda ned på nätet. Därmed ökar spridningen och synligheten av examensarbetet. Open access är på väg att bli norm för att sprida vetenskaplig information på nätet. Högskolan Dalarna rekommenderar såväl forskare som studenter att publicera sina arbeten open access. Studien berör meningsskapande inom konvergenskulturen kring det australienska bandet King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Arbetet fokuserar på rörlig bild och musik inom den kulturella kontexten. Syftet med studien är att bidra med förståelse för hur medieproduktioners kommunikationssätt samspelar och formas av nämnda konvergenskulturen. Studien gjordes genom multimodala analyser av audiovisuellt material på en remix av ett fan till bandet samt material från bandet själva. Resultatet visade att betydelsepotentialen är kopplat till teman om digitalisering och undergång som inbjuder fans till att vara med och delta.
