Today you are going to be exploring Ancient Greek religion! The Greeks were a polytheistic society, which means they believed in lots of different gods. These gods were diverse and fascinating. They have also left us with lots of amazing stories and mythologies which have been passed down throughout history!

Now you have learned about the religion of the Ancient Greeks, your task is to design your own Ancient Greek god!
Think about what common features they all share, for example weapons, symbols, animals. Also think carefully about what they are god OF. Remember that the Ancient Greeks believed that their gods were linked to nature and the natural elements. You can even give them your own Ancient Greek name!
Use your imagination and be as creative as you like! You should draw and colour an image of your god in the centre of the ‘design a god’ page, and using the clouds around it, explain some of the features we have mentioned. If you’re unsure, there is an example to look at.
Have lots of fun being imaginative and designing your god. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
