Also, I found the magic harder to follow than in the other Circle series. I have read from others that this is not the best Tamora Pierce tale. I enjoyed all of the Geology references in this, it was really good even though it felt a bit rushed and unfinished compared to the others. When I get bored, I go through the different lists and rediscover books I've read in the past. I normally love all of Pierce's work but this one was a tremendous letdown. The audiobook is a Full Cast Audio production, narrated by Evvy spoken by Grace Kelly , with different voice actors portraying each character. She has no interest in this, because her magic is with rocks. The fact that "we" as readers given the first person POV got to interact with the "heart" of the main conflict was unique. But that's it.
