Michele will hold a two days clinic on pitching, hitting and various aspects of the game of softball. This clinic is open for any interested person (coaches, players and anyone else) and, thanks to the cooperation with Technical Committee of Italian Federation (FIBS), it will guarantee credits for all activities of Italian coaches.
Even though she is retired from the field, she is still very involved in the sport, now as an analyst/broadcaster for ESPN and CBS. Michele also holds camps and clinics around the world as well as hosting National and International teams in her home city, Clearwater, FL USA at the Michele Smith Training Center. 10.30 – 12.30: Fastpitch fundamental: Throwing, Catching, Fielding, Fly balls, Bunt coverage and Positioning
12:30 – 14.00: Lunch break
14.00 – 14.45: Hitting mechanics
14.45 – 16.30 Hitting stations.
16.30 – 18.00: Wrap up camp. Pictures and autographs.
SUNDAY NOVEMBER 23rd FASTPITCH PITCHING

Michele Mary Smith was born on 1967 June 21st in New Jersey, took a PhD in Health and Wellness Sciences at Oklahoma State University. ISF Ambassador for having Softball back in the Olympic program from 2005 to 2009, nowadays she organizes courses and clinics for many Organizations (first of all the Michele Smith Faspitch Incorporation, which she is the President) and she is sport broadcaster for ESPN and CBS other than NBC e TBS in the past (first woman to broadcast a MLB game Atlanta Braves vs LA Dodges!).
Her softball career is phenomenal:
Two times Gold Medal at the Olympics with USA (Atlanta 1996 & Sidney 2000): she was the starting pitcher in both finals; Three times World Champion with USA (1994, 1998 e 2002); Three times winner with USA at Pan American Games; Eight times MVP in Japan Pro League; Eight times winner of Japan Pro League with Toyota Shokki team; Ten times All American Player; Four times winner of Bertha Tickey Award as Best Pitcher in the American Championship; Three times winner of the National Championship with Redding Rebels; Owner of the best W/L ratio (82-20) in the history of Oklahoma State University with a life ERA of 0.75 and a batting average of .343 (with 15 homers and 87 RBIs);
In her sports career (she played also basketball and hockey), she had also following awards: Clearwater Champion for Youth Award (2014); Bill Teegins Excellence in Sportscasting Award (2014); Oklahoma State Univ.
