After a streak of seven straight wins, United 58 has collected only two points from their past three games. Nothing less than a win will be enough on Friday but the Reds will need to do it without star Panny Nikas who is suspended for the match. Hakoah will go into the match inspired by their Round 2 victory against Sydney United 58. Gavin Rae’s team will be up for the challenge and won’t go down without a fight. 1ST GRADE - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 13 10 0 3 30 12 18 30 2 Blacktown City FC 13 9 3 1 25 11 14 30 3 Sydney Olympic FC 13 7 3 3 21 13 8 24 4 Rockdale City Suns FC 13 7 3 3 27 20 7 24 5 Sydney United 58 FC 13 7 2 4 25 14 11 23 6 Manly United FC 13 6 3 4 30 23 7 21 7 Wollongong Wolves FC 13 6 1 6 16 17 -1 19 8 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 13 4 4 5 20 21 -1 16 9 Sydney FC 13 4 1 8 20 28 -8 13 10 Sutherland Sharks FC 13 3 0 10 18 32 -14 9 11 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 13 2 2 9 21 40 -19 8 K. Harris 5 FIRST GRADE #PS4NPLNSW REVIEWS Sydney United 58 FC 2 - Rockdale City Suns 2 at Sydney United Sports Centre Sydney United 58 FC has salvaged a 2-2 draw against Rockdale City Suns in an action-packed PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash at Sydney United Sports Centre on Sunday. A 78th minute goal to Panny Nikas ensured the Reds secured a point from the clash after two Suns goals early in the second half. Strikes to Aleks Canak and Trent McClenahan had Rockdale in pole position going into the final moments of the game before Nikas struck his second goal of the game. It was an emotion charged contest, with Nikas sent off in the final exchanges, but neither team had the final killer touch to secure the win. Hakoah Sydney City East FC 1 - APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 4 at Hensley Athletic Field APIA Leichhardt Tigers have continued their stellar season with a convincing 4-1 away win over Hakoah Sydney City East during their PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash at Hensley Athletic field. An Adrian Ucchino double as well as goals to Corey Bizco and Brandon Lundy helped the league leaders to yet another win despite going behind early in the match. Hakoah will be disappointed to have not made the most of Andre De Jong’s 12th minute strike which gave the home side a shock 1-0 lead. However, APIA were too strong and raced away for a dominant victory and three competition points. 6 ROUNDHEADING 13 NPLNSW.COM.AU TEAMSUBHEAD OF THE 01: LARGE USE: OVER 150MM WIDE This logo has a smaller ‘®’ symbol 02: FOOTBALL NSW WOULDSMAL LIKEL USE: TO55MM THANK - 150MM WID THEIRE SPONSORS FOR THEIRThis CONTINUED logo has a larger ‘ ®SUPPORT’ symbol 7 FEATURE STORY #PS4NPLNSW WARATAH CUP FINALS he 2017 Waratah Cup TFinals matches have been announced after round 7 of the Westfield FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds were completed on WARATAH CUP Wednesday evening as APIA Leichhardt Tigers, Bankstown Berries, Blacktown City, Hills Brumbies, Hakoah Sydney FINALS City East and Sydney United 58 were on course to play for this season’s first piece of PRELIMINARY FINALS silverware. The Reds were upset 1-0 at home Rockdale in round 13 following a heavy 5-1 defeat to APIA Leichhardt Tigers the previous weekend and need to avoid another loss with several sides sniffing around the finals positions. Hakoah will consider themselves as one of these key contenders and will arrive into the match full of confidence having beaten championship dark horses APIA 2-1 at Hensley Athletic Field last Saturday, a result that overturned a poor spell of form Friday’s visitors. Paul Hubbard’s side will be level on points with United 58 should they make it two wins in a row and take advantage of this mini-slump for the Reds.
