SPECIALE AZZURRI La delegazione IL PRESIDENTE DELLA FIGC CARLO TAVECCHIO Nato a Ponte Lambro (provincia di Como) il 13 Luglio 1943. E’ Presidente della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti della F.I.G.C. dal 29 Maggio 1999. Coniugato, una figlia, diploma di ragioneria, ha svolto l’attività di imprenditore. Per 4 legislature ha ricoperto la carica di Sindaco di Ponte Lambro e per 16 anni è stato Presidente di una Società dilettantistica della Lombardia, nonché Dirigente della Banca di Credito Cooperativo – Alta Brianza. Entra nel Comitato Regionale Lombardia della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti nel 1987 e ricopre la carica di Consigliere fino al 1992. Dal 1992 al 1996 è eletto Vice Presidente della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti. Dal 1996 assume la carica di Presidente del Comitato Regionale Lombardia della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti che mantiene fino al 1999, quando è eletto Presidente della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti. E’ Membro Effettivo della Commissione U.E.F.A. per il Calcio Dilettantistico e Giovanile (U.E.F.A. Youth and Amateur Football Committee ;) dal 2007; Componente della Commissione Ministeriale, presso il Ministero della Salute, per i campi in erba artificiale; Presidente della Commissione Impianti Sportivi in erba artificiale della F.I.G.C. (dal 28 Dicembre 2010). Tra le altre cariche, è stato Vice Presidente della F.I.G.C. dal 2007 al 2009; Vice Presidente Vicario F.I.G.C. dal 2009 al 2014; Membro del Comitato di Presidenza F.I.G.C. da aprile 2013 fino alla conclusione del quadriennio olimpico 2012/2016; Membro “Panel F.I.F.A.” per le problematiche del calcio dilettantistico in Europa e Membro “Panel U.E.F.A.” per le problematiche inerenti i campi in erba artificiale. Nel 1991 passa alla Juventus, dove resterà per tredici stagioni a cavallo degli anni novanta e duemila, diventandone capitano e simbolo. Negli anni trascorsi in bianconero vince cinque campionati di Serie A e tutte le principali competizioni UEFA, con la sola eccezione della Coppa delle Coppe. Con la maglia della Nazionale partecipa al Mondiale del 1994 perdendo in finale contro il Brasile. A causa di un infortunio salta l'Europeo 1996, disputando invece il successivo (Euro 2000), che conclude in anticipo a causa di una lesione ai legamenti della caviglia destra. Nel 2006 inizia l'attività di allenatore nel Siena e nella stagione 2008/2009 conquista il primo posto nel campionato cadetto con il Bari. Dopo un’altra promozione in Serie A con il Siena, nell'estate del 2011 passa sulla panchina della Juventus e si aggiudica il titolo di Campione d'Italia per tre stagioni consecutive. Vince anche la Supercoppa Italiana per due volte e taglia due traguardi storici: i 102 punti in campionato e l'imbattibilità casalinga, con 57 punti conquistati su altrettanti disponibili. Oltre a Siena, Bari e Juventus, guida anche l’Arezzo nella stagione 2006/2007 e l’Atalanta nel 2009/2010. Premiato due volte con la Panchina d’oro e una con la Panchina d’argento, dal 19 agosto è il Commissario Tecnico della Nazionale. Quella colta, “legale” e alpina dell’avvocato Peppino Prisco, quella industriale e borghese della dinastia Moratti, quella semplice e romantica di Giacinto Facchetti, uomo d’altri tempi e campione di tutti, non solo dell’Inter. E poi le tante anime dei tifosi interisti, i più esigenti del mondo. Non potrò mai dimenticare quel tifoso di mezza età, in quel pomeriggio di qualche anno fa, che picchiava con violenza i pugni sul pullman dell’Inter insultando a squarciagola Marco Materazzi. Quell’anonimo invasato indossava però una maglia nerazzurra col numero ventitré, quella di Materazzi, naturalmente. E poi l’amico Marco Policastro, che il 22 maggio 2010 allo stadio “Santiago Bernabeu” di Madrid, al minuto novantadue, quando eravamo già tutti coi pugni al cielo al grido di Campioni d’Europa, riusciva ancora a mandare a quel paese Pandev dopo un passaggio sbagliato. Giacinto Facchetti però è stato unico, trasversale e indimenticabile, quasi un eroe romantico.

Po zásluze jsme tak šli do vedení, které jsme dokázali udržet až do samého závěru. Tím jsme udělali první krok ke kýženému postupu do dalšího kola. Dnes nás čeká udělat ten druhý a dovolím si tvrdit, ještě těžší krok, neboť Rosenborg, který patří mezi tradiční účastníky evropských pohárů, rozhodně neprodá svoji kůži lacino.
