At Stiklestad you can get everything from magnificent cultural experiences to Viking fun and games.

Every day throughout the summer, on the very site where Olav Haraldsson fell at the Battle of Stiklestad, thousands of people converge every year to witness everything from local to international cultural celebrities performing in concerts and theatre productions, with the Pageant of Holy Olav as the main attraction.

On the mediaeval farm of Stiklastadir, you can step back in time and live and play with intermediaries who will stimulate your thoughts and imagination. While the children are dressing up and preparing to act out the battle itself, the adults can see and learn about what life was like at the time. At the longhouse, a visitor’s loft is being built and everybody will gladly share their knowledge and skills with you.
