(“digicam”), is currently used by the U.S. Army. • U.S. Air Force: Air Force ground- based units, security units, and special operations units, that are de- ployed in Afghanistan, use MultiCam instead, known as OCP pattern. UNITED STATES AIR FORCE The Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) is a service-distinctive camou- flage battledress uniform for the U.S. Air Force. UNITED STATES NAVY The Navy Working Uniform (NWU) uses a multi-color digital print pattern similar to those introduced by other services. The statute requires the Comptroller General to conduct an assessment of the ground combat uniforms and camouflage utility uniforms currently in use in the Department of Defense and provide the results to the congressional defense committees not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of the act. On April 26, 2010, we provided a briefing on the results of our assessment to your committees’ staffs to satisfy this requirement. We also provided the Department of Defense an opportunity to comment on the briefing. The department provided us with technical comments, which we have incorporated as appropriate.
