Explanation of the chapter: This is a true story of a Sports hero named Michael Milton, who has always proved that keeping fit was not a problem for him even though he was a physically handicapped. One day when Michael returned back from school, he had an acute pain in his left leg. His parents were worried and took him to the hospital immediately. The doctors there told him that he would lose his left leg. When Michael heard this news, he was disappointed. Michael joined the school after a prolonged period of time, he could not help feeling the pressure of the other students and his own classmates. He grabbed the leg prosthesis that helped him to walk and threw it out of the school window. This light metal frame of the leg had made him a laughing stock for the other kids. He did not want that metal thing but a real one made out of flesh and bone that could him to walk properly. Michael was born and had grown up in such a family that had already great compassion for . He was only three years old when he had learnt Skiing as it had been always his priority. One day he watched the video of one-legged guy who was Skiing. It inspired Michael Milton to such an extent that he started skiing again. He was just fourteen years when he skied in his international competition. In the year 1998 in pg. 2

Innsbruck, Austria, he skied to such an extent that fear was just taken away from him. It proved that Michael could compete an avalanche due to his great speed. He also added it by saying that a single leg is not a hinderance in his life. He is well known for his twelve-time gold medalist in six Paralympics and six World Championships. He has made a great charity towards the needy and disabled children of the society. He had an oesophageal surgery in July 2007 but he continued to recover.
