This statement, quizzical and absurd as usual, ties in with another aphorism, reportedly the first Allen joke to be published: »I am two with Nature.« Until this very day, Woody Allen is one of the most prolific and renowned artists that America has generated in the 20th century. Receiving his first Emmy Award for a script for the Ed Sullivan Show as early as 1957, Allen has since won four Oscars, the O. Henry Award for the best short story in 1977, as well as numerous other prizes in the U.S. and Europe. What makes Allen’s work, which encompasses comedies, dramas, expressionist films and acting roles as well as literary works, so unique and so influential? This course will deal with the central themes and motifs negotiated in Allen’s oeuvre – black humor, psychology, Jewishness, New York City, human relationships, and the absurdities of (post)modern life. -

CONTRACT LAW: NEW MEDIA AND OLD LICENSES It was not so long ago that few people had heard of video cassette players for the home, let alone laser disc players.' With technology ex- panding so rapidly the courts have had to decide whether new forms of media, such as video cassettes and video discs, should be included under license agreements that were created before these media were developed. The court held in Platinum Record Co., Inc. v. Lucasfilm, Ltd.2 that where a license agreement can be fairly read to include exhibition by means of newly developed or unforeseen media, it is the burden of the licensor3 to negotiate exceptions to the rights granted to the licensee.4 The court also ruled that motion pictures are exhibited when shown to an audience on a movie or television screen and therefore, video cassettes and video discs are a means of exhibition rather than something unre- lated to exhibition.5 In January 1973, Lucasfilm, Ltd. -

REQUIRED FOR ENGLISH MAJORS Both Literary Studies & Creative Writing concentrations ENG 4001 Senior Colloquium Sec 261 W 6:00 - 8:30 Professor Rachel Mesch The revised Colloquium will be a 3-credit course for both Literary Studies and Creative Writing students, taking place in online and face-to-face sessions in a single semester. Each of the sessions will focus on a work of literature and at least one modern refashion- ing of it, whether through film, fiction, graphic novel, or another art form. Students will respond to these works through a variety of prompts that will elicit both traditional liter- ary analysis and other forms of creative expression over the course of the semester. Stu- dents will also be responsible for leading discussion in at least one session. At the end of the semester, students will submit a written paper that they will then present to faculty examiners in a discussion in which they will be asked to reflect more synthetically on the work of the Colloquium. As with the other writing prompts, they will have a variety of options for the form that this final paper takes, from traditional literary analysis to other forms of creative writing. -

Se cerchi arte allora ti consiglio di stare lontano da questo, ma se ti piace & quot; B & quot; film di sfruttamento e sono un fan del genere vigilante, quindi dovresti mangiarlo. Questo è stato il primo film di Lustig dopo MANIAC, quindi sono rimasto un po 'sorpreso nel vedere quanto fosse non violenta questa cosa.
