It arrived this week and is absolutely adorable. The illustrations are charming, the story is fantastic and we are SO excited for The Good Dinosaur to come out next week! I love having a Little Golden Book in our collection for each of our favorite stories, and this was a wonderful way to continue the tradition. Perfect gift for any kids in your life! The movie was a beautiful story of an epic journey, and I'm a sucker for such stories, having been on an epic journey myself. I was hoping the book would capture some of that essence in an age-appropriate way. But the book focused more on the facts of the movie. It felt more like an illustrated book report than the story of hoped it would be. I may have a weak spot when it comes to Little Golden Books because I had so many growing up when I was first learning to read. I still have many of mine now that my daughters are able to enjoy. My youngest daughter, 5, went to see this movie with my fiance when it first came out and it was her first theater experience. When I saw they had a Golden Book for it, I knew it would be the perfect Christmas present from Daddy to daughter! When I first received it, I went to open it to read it and you could tell it had never been opened. I decided against reading it myself because I remember the fun of "cracking" a book for the first time and wanted to save that for my daughter! :) I definitely recommend buying this book for your little ones or to just add to your growing collection! My daughter is eight years old and a struggling read because of many disorders ... Golden Books are still a great choice for her. please no nasty comments. The Good Dinosaur has become one of her favorite movies so I was hoping this would be a book she would perhaps want to pick up and try to read. She has struggled with some of the words, but she is really wanting to work at it so I am so glad I purchased it. The pictures are fantastic and the story line follows well with the book. THANK YOU Golden Books for coming to my rescue again! This book was purchased at FULL PRICE and is not part of any time of REVIEW or PROMOTIONAL ITEM! I purchase GOLDEN BOOKS because I sincerely love them and want my daughter to be able to learn to read. I read this with my daughter and I read this for the first time last night. We both enjoyed the way it read. It kept to the movie and the way the words are written kept my little one interested. It wasn't a long story, just right for a 5 year old mind. My 2 year old doesn't usually sit well for long books (By "long" I mean anything more then a simple board book), but this one holds his interest. He likes the pictures and seems interested in the story - even after the 5th time we have read it. My 8 year old son is obsessed with dinosaurs. So when we first seen this movie being made I knew it would become a hit around the house. Of course as soon as the movie came on dvd we purchased it, and they loved it. Not long later they asked for the book, so I began looking for it. I came across this one and had to order it. Upon arrival I was very pleased with it. Like other golden books, its made very well. The pictures are perfect and the kids loved them. The book touches on all the main events in the move. Its the perfect length for small children and it keeps their attention. They love it and we read it very often. I'm glad I came across this book and it will be read many more times I'm sure. This is the Little Golden Book version of the recent Disney Pixar movie, The Good Dinosaur. It is the really fun and cute adventure story of the dinosaur Arlo, who is trying to earn his place in the world, and the human child that Arlo names Spot. The book is wonderfully illustrated and is the perfect length for reading to a toddler or pre-schooler or even an older child. My 3.5 year old grandson absolutely loved the story. The book itself is very high quality and should hold up for a long time, as Little Golden Books do when they are cared for. I'm sure like me you have some from as many as fifty years ago. • ADVANCE Disney and Pixar's Original Feature Film “Luca” Is a Fun and Heartwarming Story About Friendship, Stepping out Of
ADVANCE Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a fun and heartwarming story about friendship, stepping out of your comfort zone and two teenage sea monsters who experience a life-changing summer. “This movie is about the friendships that change us,” says director Enrico Casarosa. “It’s a love letter to the summers of our youth—those formative years when you’re finding yourself.” Adds producer Andrea Warren, “It’s a magical coming-of-age-story. It’s about remembering the people who shaped us along the way.” Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, “Luca” is a story about one boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, Alberto, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are both sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface. “Luca is a shy, polite, introverted, rule-following kid who has a secret desire to see the world and learn all he can,” says screenwriter Jesse Andrews. “But he’s been told his whole life that sea monsters should never go above the surface of the water where all the interesting stuff seems to be happening.” So it’s no surprise that Luca harbors a secret fascination with all things human. His curiosity is especially sparked when he discovers items that have floated down from the surface. “Luca knows nothing of the surface,” says screenwriter Mike Jones. “So these items are glimpses of another world—as if it were an object of an extraterrestrial landing on Earth.
