I have found this site easy to use and have read some really excellent books from their suggestions. Why not stock up on some late summer reading titles now? One thing to be aware of, however: some External Hard Drives look like small diaries and simply plug in to a USB port on your laptop, so can be unplugged and carried away easily. Others, like the WD Ele- ments External Hard Drive, plugs into a USB port, BUT needs its own power source so needs to be plugged in to the mains via an AC adapter (needing a nearby electric socket). Such devices are conse- quently not as ‘portable’ as you might expect, be- cause of this, so it’s worth checking before buying. Another possible ‘drawback’ with these (usually bulk- ier) devices is that you will need a carry case to store the unit, its charger and the accompanying power/ connecting leads.
