Finale South Sound Saxophone Ensemble Tim Chalberg, Jamie Rottle, soprano saxophones Julie Allison, Megumi Azekawa, Sheryl Clark, Noah Kime, alto saxophones Chris Arent, Nick Barene, Roy Dilley, Didi Lawson, Fran Lukas, Bill Turnidge, tenor saxophones David Decker, Ed Lewis, Catherine Roe, baritone saxophones Kevin Hall, bass saxophone Erik Steighner, conductor About the Conductor Erik Steighner has performed with ensembles including the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Federal Way Symphony, the Northwest Sinfonietta, the San Antonio Symphony, the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra, the Tipping Point Saxophone Quartet, and the Alloy Saxophone Quartet. Steighner has served on the faculty of Texas State University and is currently a lecturer at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., where his course load has included Saxophone, Chamber Music, Introduction to Music, Ear Training, and Music Theory. Steighner has premiered dozens of solo and chamber works and is featured on CD releases from labels including Albany Records, Alea Publishing, Mark Custom, Naxos, Reference Recordings, and Vienna Modern Masters. His latest album is Made in Tacoma: New Chamber Music for Saxophone, and he is a recent winner of the Frances Walton Competition in Seattle.
