‘MY BOYFRIENDS’ DOGS’ CAST BIOS ERIKA CHRISTENSEN (Bailey Daley) — Erika Christensen has established herself as one of Hollywood's most talented and sought-after young actresses, appearing in award-winning series and feature films. Currently, Christensen stars as Julia Braverman-Graham on NBC's hit Golden Globe®-nominated drama series "Parenthood." In 2000, Christensen stunned audiences in Steven Soderbergh's Oscar® and Golden Globe® winning film "Traffic" as Michael Douglas' drug addicted daughter. Along with the rest of the cast, she received a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by the Cast of a Theatrical Motion Picture. Additionally, Christensen won MTV's Breakthrough Female Performance Award at the 2001 MTV Movie Awards for the role. Christensen went on to star in Robert Schwentke's blockbuster hit, "Flightplan," opposite Jodie Foster and Peter Sarsgaard, Mike Binder's critically acclaimed film "The Upside of Anger" opposite Kevin Costner, Joan Allen, Evan Rachel Wood, Keri Russell and Alicia Witt and John Polson's high school thriller "Swimfan" opposite Jesse Bradford. Additionally, she starred in Brian Robbins' "The Perfect Score" opposite Scarlett Johansson and in Bob Dolman's "The Banger Sisters" opposite Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn. Her other recent credits include starring in "Veronika Decides to Die," directed by award- winning director Emily Young, Andrew Jenkin's "How to Rob a Bank," opposite Nick Stahl and in Kevin Connolly's directorial debut "The Gardener of Eden," opposite Lukas Haas and Giovanni Ribisi. On the small screen, Christensen was most recently seen in guest-star roles on “Lie to Me,” “Mercy,” “Robot Chicken” and “Law and Order: SVU.” She also starred opposite Hope Davis, Jay Hernandez, Bridget Moynahan and Campbell Scott in J.J. Abram's television series "6 Degrees." Christensen received the Spirit Award at the 2003 Annual Diversity Awards, an honor bestowed upon an actor who has demonstrated diversity in role choices during his/her career. ### EMILY HOLMES (Amber) — Emily Holmes was born in Ottawa and raised in Toronto, Ontario. From a very young age, Holmes always envisioned a career for herself in acting. Her dream matured when she attended University of British Columbia, and graduated with a B.F.A in acting. Since then, Holmes has successfully carved a niche for herself in the national and international film and television markets, which have enabled her to travel extensively worldwide. On the big screen, Holmes had a supporting lead role in the film “Year of The Carnivore” with director Sook–Yin Lee, which debuted at 2011 Toronto Film Festival to critical acclaim. The feature is based on the Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn and his most famous picture Nightwatch. In this extravagant, exotic and moving look at Rembrandt's romantic and professional life in 1642, Holmes plays Hendrickj, at first a beautiful, young, kind hearted servant to the Rembrandt van Rijn household who later in life becomes his mistress. “Nightwatch” premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007. In 2012, Holmes shot another lead role for “Prisoners Of The Sun,” opposite John Rhys Davis, David Charvet and Carmen Chaplin. Other feature film credits include a role in cult favorite “Snakes on A Plane” and a co-star role in the critically acclaimed French Canadian film “Familia,” which won the Best Canadian First Feature Film at the Toronto Film Festival 2005. On television, Holmes’ leading roles include the TV movie “Independence Daysaster,” for which she teamed with director David Hogan, “Big Time Movie” for Nickelodeon and “Magic Beyond Words” for Lifetime. Her television series credits and guest star appearances include “Alcatraz,” “The Secret Circle,” “Emily Owens, M.D.,” “Supernatural,” “Smallville” and “Stargate SG1.” She also guest starred in Steven Spielberg’s “Taken,” “Stephen King’s Dead Zone,” “Dark Angel” and the DreamWorks miniseries “Into the West.” Holmes currently resides in Vancouver BC with her family. ### TERYL ROTHERY (Dina) — Actress Teryl Rothery always knew she wanted to be an entertainer. Her first role came as a dancer in a production of Bye Bye Birdie at age thirteen, before she went on to land her first television appearance on CBC. A Vancouver, B.C. native, Rothery has worked in the industry for many years with great success. Rothery trained at the Larry Moss Studio in Los Angeles and Gastown Actors’ Studio and The Shakespeare Centre, both in Vancouver. Her most memorable television role has been Dr. Janet Fraiser on the Emmy® nominated hit Sci-Fi series “Stargate SG-1” for seven seasons. Rothery received a 2003 Leo Award nomination for Best Supporting Performance by a Female for her portrayal of Fraiser, the medical officer for the Cheyenne Mountain Facility who faces many peculiar cases. Her other award nominations include three more nominations for Leo Awards, for her performances in “The Collector,” “Coffee Diva” and “The Guard,” in 2004, 2008 and 2009, respectively. She’s also had recurring roles on the CW series, “Hellcats,” the Syfy channel drama, “Caprica,” ABC Family’s “Kyle XY,” Showtime’s “Dead Like Me” and “The Guard” for Global. Other television credits include roles on “Jeremiah,” “The Dead Zone,” “DaVinci’s Inquest,” “Smallville,” “Supernatural” and “Psych.” Her most recent role has been as spirited divorcee Grace Sherman on Hallmark Channel’s first original scripted series, “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove,” currently in its second season, alongside Andie MacDowell. In recent years, Rothery has also done voice work as Maggie Weston in “Exo Squad,” Mai in “Dragon Ball,” Ako in “Project Ako” and Kodachi in “Ranma ½” to name a few. ### JOYCE DEWITT (Nikki) – Joyce DeWitt is most widely known to audiences for her starring role as "Janet Wood" in the ABC Television hit series “Three's Company” where she worked for many years with her dear friend, the amazing John Ritter. She has an extensive theatrical background, working both as actress and director in a stage career which spans over fifty years. In those fifty years, DeWitt has starred in theatrical productions of every genre. The classics include Moliere’s Tartuffe, Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Euripides’ Medea, contemporary dramas such as Paddy Chayefsky's Middle of the Night, Eugene O'Neill's Desire Under the Elms, the 2000 Pulitzer Prize-winning Dinner With Friends and the North American premiere of Australia's complicated yet romantic Daylight Savings. Her career also includes starring roles in such comedic hits as Sam Bobrick's Remember Me, Neil Simon’s Star Spangle Girl, his comical yet tender Chapter Two, as well as the hilarious British farce Noises Off, the Tony Award-winning The Last Night of Ballyhoo and the endearing Same Time Next Year. Her long list of starring roles in musicals includes South Pacific, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity, Oklahoma, Married Alive, Leader of the Pack, They’re Playing Our Song, Hats, All Shook Up, revivals of Cole Porter's Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Mama Rose in Gypsy, and the mythical Olympus on My Mind for which she completed the cast recording - her first Broadway Album. Most recently, DeWitt’s joy has been in several productions of A.R. Gurney's Love Letter’s with her dear friend Tab Hunter, touring with the adorable and talented Adrian Zmed in TV Hit Parade, starring in productions of the Vagina Monologues in multiple cities, as well as the premier production of the hysterical, yet musically unexpected, I'm Connecticut by “The Simpsons’” creator/producer/writer Mike Reiss. Additionally, DeWitt loved every minute of starring in New York in the off-Broadway production of Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating and Marriage and having the great pleasure of participating in Broadway Cares. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, DeWitt is one of four children. Her childhood years were divided between West Virginia and Indiana. DeWitt holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ball State University and a Master of Fine Arts Degree from UCLA where she was awarded the Master of Fine Arts Fellowship as well as the Clifton Webb Scholarship. DeWitt is also a passionate activist and philanthropist. Working with Valerie Harper and Dennis Weaver, DeWitt participated with members of the House and Senate at the Capitol Hill Forum on Hunger and Homelessness and has hosted presentations for the Family Assistance Program of Hollywood. She hosted the International Awards Ceremony at the White House for the Presidential End Hunger Awards, as well as co-hosting the World Food Day Gala at the Kennedy Center with Jeff Bridges.
