Camp’s Connecting to our past, celebrating our future Time Capsule If you were to set the dial on your time machine for Fall 1987 and the location to Ashford, Conn., you would see the start of the construction of Camp. The initial 35 Camp buildings, of which our signature Shaker Barn-style dining hall is one, were built in a record eight months by the Simon Konover Company. Who could have guessed that this skeletal building, once completed, would quickly become the center of so much singing, dancing and no-hands eating?
