WHAT: RTD is providing newsgathering resources on the N Line webpage – which includes details about fares, stations and parking – and the N Line online media kit. Here, you will find an archive of news releases about the project; a library of still images and video assets; quotes from RTD and regional leaders; and a fact sheet, graphics, maps and articles. Video from the ceremony also will be accessible on RTD’s website and the RTD YouTube account.

WHEN: The event will begin at 10 a.m. Monday and can be viewed at this link and on the N Line webpage.

WHY: The N Line will serve Denver, Commerce City, Northglenn and Thornton. It includes six new stations and 2,480 new parking spaces along a 13-mile corridor between Union Station and Eastlake•124th Station. An end-to-end trip will take about 29 minutes. The entire 18.5-mile N Line is part of RTD’s 2004 voter-approved FasTracks program to expand transit across the Denver metro region. The remaining 5.5 miles of the corridor will be built as funds become available.

RTD will offer free rides to the public beginning at noon on Sept. 21 through Sept. 27.

The N Line is the first electrified commuter rail line that RTD will operate. RTD maintains and operates all of the agency’s and bus service.
