The first workshop on Roadmapping of Research and Development and Commercialization Initiatives for Mollusks was held on January 7-10, 2019, covering topics on the current state of mollusk industry and research in the Philippines. Its goal is to promulgate the importance of mollusks in the country and to jumpstart research that will potentially develop the mollusk industry. Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum The 12th Asian Fisheries and Aquaculture Forum (AFAF) was held at the Iloilo Convention Center last April 8-12, 2019. The meeting together with the different heads of SUCs and their representatives took place at the Pidlaoan Hall, College of Fisheries and Sciences, UP Visayas, Miagao last June 4, 2019. CHED partnership mission in Ankara, Turkey (December 9 to 13, 2019) The visit included initial discussions on the possible joint initiatives between higher education institutions in Turkey and in the Philippines relative to the implementation of the Protocol for Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education between CHED and the Council of Higher Education, Turkey signed in November 2018.
