Free High School Equivalency Preparation & Classes at BPL Getting your high school equivalency diploma is one of the best things you can do for yourself, and one of the most important ways to further your career and education.

BPL can help you earn your High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma in our Adult Learning programs. Learn more and get started by attending a screening!

Pre-HSE Program We can help you prepare for the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), which replaced the General Educational Development (GED) test. Evening, daytime and weekend classes are available. Contact us at [email protected].

Young Adult Literacy Program Are you 17 to 24 years old? BPL offers YALP, a full-time work readiness program for young adults who are up to the task of pursuing their HSE diploma. Participants develop reading, math, thinking, workplace and social skills essential for success! Contact us at [email protected].

The Pre-HSE program is made possible through Workforce Investment Act Title II federal funds that support programs in Adult Literacy and English as a Second Language, awarded through a competitive grant process administered by the ACCES Office of the New York State Education Department. The Young Adult Literacy Program (YALP) is supported by generous grants from the City of New York, Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO) and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).
