Although the ‘move’ had been initially mooted in 1993, by the end of 2001 the Club was no nearer to achieving that objective and at the end of the 2001- 02 season the Club finally left its spiritual home, and ground shares at Shildon, Spennymoor and West Auckland followed.
he Club continued to pursue its objective of getting to Tindale T Crescent and obtained the maximum Football Foundation grant of £250,000 in 2004. In conjunction with national blue chip developer Terrace Hill the Club finally obtained planning permission for the new ground in November 2008. The new ground named Heritage Park was built for the Club by Terrace Hill and was an integral part of a massive regeneration project.

Good evening and welcome to the ‘Voneus Broadband Stadium’ at Heritage Park, the home of Bishop Auckland FC for our opening home league game of the season against Newton Aycliffe.
How refreshing it was on Saturday (and not just the 2nd half downpour that soaked us silly enough not to carry a jacket!!) to return to competitive action for the first time since the end of October, and what a bonus it was to grab the win with a determined dogged display from the lads.
Without even taking the result into consideration it was great to see smiles on everyone’s faces, drinks flowing and great banter, after what has been a very stop start 16 months for life in general. A big shout out to the two blue fans who certainly helped carry the team over the line at Guisborough – more of the same tonight please!
I think this evening will prove to be one of the tougher fixtures in the league this season as Newton Aycliffe continue to develop and evolve under the studious approach of Colin Stormsoy and looking at their result on Saturday they will be amongst the front runners.
In tonight’s issue I have included the first part of a very interesting take on BAFC fortunes during the start of the Covid 19 pandemic which has been put together by club ambassador and Manchester Utd historian, Roy Cavanagh MBE, who followed everything on social media from afar. To be continued in the coming weeks….

First of all, can I welcome everyone to a new season on behalf of the directors; Catherine, Terry, Richard, Tony and our newest director Kevin Bowker who is already a season ticket holder and very keen volunteer at the club - Kevin will be helping us out with future projects as well as jobs around the ground and hopefully help bring in more sponsors to the club.
As you will have noticed we have changed our midweek matches to Tuesday evening to allow the players to get together on a Thursday to work together and improve fitness levels.
After a very disappointing and testing range of friendly games (apart from the excellent game against Middlesbrough which was a tremendous success on and off the field) we more than welcomed the tremendous 3 points v Guisborough at our first game and the away support and photos captured were brilliant. The support of our fans was like having an extra player on the pitch and it was great to see the players and management team engaging with the fans. That was the start we all wanted and sets us up for a great game v Newton Aycliffe tonight after their excellent win last Saturday.
Andy and Ian are doing a great job in getting the best out of the players currently available with Saturday a perfect example of organisation, team spirit and 100% effort but don’t be surprised to see fresh faces coming in over the next few weeks as players may become available.
Lots of work has also gone on over the last year and during the closed season ranging from new goal netting to the replacement of tractors. The new “Chefs Shelter” area now takes pride of place next to the covered terracing and our weekly car boot fair and additional sponsor board around the ground are a great boost!
A massive thank you goes to all the supporters who have paid again for their season tickets after we offered to replace them FOC for this season!
Finally, a massive thank you is extended to all volunteers who have worked tirelessly throughout the summer and we welcome back those who we need for match days to run smoothly who I mentioned at the club’s AGM two weeks ago. Good evening,
On Saturday at Guisborough Town we were missing a number of players for different reasons. Some will return for tonight’s game v Newton Aycliffe but there will still be some that miss out. Unfortunately, this is what will happen for the next month or so until players become happy with where they are at.
The pre-season has been a complete nightmare trying to get players in as most just want to see what their club has to offer first before they then may become available. Also, with the higher division clubs still holding onto their own players due to not starting competitively until next week has not been a help either. I believe clubs will be looking to have a bigger squad this season too, with the covid situation still hovering around in the background.
Back to Saturday and we got off to a great start against a good Guisborough side and weathered the storm in the first half. We came out for the 2nd half and did much better with regards to ball retention.
I would like to welcome Alan Oliver and everyone from Newton Aycliffe FC and wish them well…AFTER the game is over! Newton Aycliffe are one of the favourites for the league this season so tonight will be a different game to the weekend, and we will probably not have the ball for long spells. We will need to stay organised and disciplined if we are to get anything from tonight.

Two Blues Launch New Website
The Club is excited to announce the launch of our new website. The new site is leaner and much faster with enhanced features that fans, and visitors will notice when they visit.
Chairman Steve Coulthard said "The Club would like to thank club partners Comtek System Solutions and specifically Richard Cooke, CEO of Comtek and fellow club director, who has spent many hours of hard work designing and developing the site, overcoming the many problems you experience when moving from one website to another. This involved transferring data, functionality and information which needed to be retained whilst setting up the new features we will experience. I am sure this new website will help us move forward and keep improving and adding items on to keep everyone up to date."
The new website is mobile responsive which enables visitors to easily read and navigate across the site using a range of devices from desktop computers to mobile phones. The site includes team information which builds up over the seasons such as appearances, substitutions, goals scored, yellow and red cards received and much more that will keep fans fully informed.
The Club Shop has also had a revamp and you can continue to buy club merchandise such as replica shirts, scarves, and hats as well as season tickets. People that have any queries or wish to book our function room will now be able to do this using the new ‘Contact Us’ page, we’ve also listed details of our sponsorship opportunities. Our latest news section will keep fans up to date on all matters relating to the Club and will link with social media. Our head of PR, Luke Atkinson will ensure our news is circulated far and wide to ensure everyone knows what is happening at our great club.
Comtek will also be hosting the new website on their servers to ensure the maximum amount of up-time for the site is achieved.

Saturday 3rd July 2021, Grangetown Boys Club AWAY
A scattering of Bishops fans made the trip to Middlesbrough on a humid afternoon to see Bishops in action for the first time in more than 8 months against Step 7 opposition. A line up with a mixture of first team players, U23 regulars and trialists took to the field and a naturally ‘scratchy’ start to the game saw the home side score what was to be the only goal of the game in the first 20 minutes when Liversedge was beaten with a low shot across him into the far corner of the net. Bishops did get eventually get into their stride and for the remainder of the game exerted strong pressure on their ‘plucky’ opponent’s goal. Determined defending, poor finishing, excellent goalkeeping and the cross bar denied Bishops an equaliser – Alfie Pearn seeing a delicate chip rebound off the woodwork in the final minutes.
Saturday 11th July 2021, Shildon AWAY
Dean Street was the location for Bishops second friendly against newly promoted Shildon who are preparing for their first forage up the football pyramid. Established first teamer Chris Winn returned to the side and an impressive start saw the imposing El Haj glance in a tempting Olly Hotchkiss corner. The home side equalised before half time through Dom Curl who also made his mark with his head. A competitive game swung Shildon’s way in the 2nd half, with Posthill scoring a penalty after a handball offence and then Ben Trotter finishing clinically past Nick Liversedge.
Wednesday 14th July 2021, Middlesbrough FC HOME
Neil Warnock brought his first team for their opening friendly of the summer and a reduced capacity sell out crowd of just under 1,000 saw Bishops put in a good display despite going down 0-3 in the end courtesy of 2 late goals adding some gloss to the score line for all the possession ‘Boro’ had on the night. Close season signing Uche Ikpeazu impressed for the visitors and marked his debut with a spectacular goal that dipped over Liversedge in the Bishop goal. With only 9 minutes on the clock the crowd could not be mistaken for expecting an avalanche of goals, however Bishops defended well and looked energetic and composed in possession when the chance arose.
Saturday 17th July 2021, Spennymoor Town FC HOME
A last-minute change of opponents due to Goole AFC pulling out due to covid-19 saw Conference North Spennymoor visit on a stiflingly hot summers afternoon. A strong ‘Town’ side including several trialists of their own soon began to put Bishops to the sword after a sluggish opening quarter. Glen Taylor grabbed 4 goals of the nine that were put past Liversedge and his 2nd half replacement Charlie Lamb. As good as Bishops were a few days earlier against ‘Boro’ they were as lethargic and sloppy against a rampant Moors on what was a chastening afternoon for Andy Tomans experimental side.
Friday 23rd July 2021, Harrogate Railway Athletic AWAY
Another hot evening saw Bishops travel down the A1 to face NE Counties opposition. A bright start to the game by Bishops fizzled out into a frustrating display which brough another defeat, this time by a single goal scored in the 2nd half.
Saturday 24th July 2021, Darlington Town HOME
Less than 24 hours after the ‘first team’ played out a 1-0 defeat at Harrogate RA a Bishops XI featuring mainly U23 players and trialists did not do themselves justice and were walloped 8-1 by a rampant Darlington outfit of the Wearside League. Regan Nixon scored Bishops goal from close range.

A very healthy number of two blue supporters made the trip to the King George V Stadium and were rewarded with a hard-fought opening day win by a Bishops side held together by the excellent Kamal Ait El Haj.
The opening minutes were encouraging enough for a Bishops team short on confidence and rhythm after a disappointing pre-season campaign, Alfie Pearn stretching his legs and the home defence as he got away down the right but couldn’t conjure anything meaningful for the Bishops attack.
Chris Winn blazed over the bar from the edge of the box with just the keeper to beat with perhaps Bishops best opportunity of the first half, this being sandwiched in between good spells of Guisborough pressure. Nick Liversedge wasn’t truly tested but had to be alert along with his defenders as a flurry of corner kicks and crosses into the box were dealt with. HT 0-0.
Bishops probably needed to get the midfield into the game to dominate more of the ball and started to do just that as they came out in positive fashion after the interval. A strong penalty shot was waved away minutes into the half.
An extremely tight affair looked like it was going to head toward a goalless draw until Chris Winn bustling run into the box was ended illegally as the powerful forward fell to the ground. Robert Dean guessed correctly and palmed out Winn’s low effort, however Pilling played the ball back into the 6-yard box where the ball ricocheted into the post before eventually being poked home by a prostate Winn to the delight of the away support on the grass bank behind the goal.
The remaining 10 minutes were dealt with without any major panic by the Bishops defence and at the final whistle the team were applauded off with a chorus of “Beeee…Auckland” as the rain began to pour. FT 0-1. ATT 363. ACTION SHOTS

Jamie is very quick and very consistent. He will be a valued member of the squad again and can hopefully stay injury free this term. Regan has been involved with the first team squad for a couple of seasons now and will be looking to feature more regularly. Scored his first senior goal in the FA Cup win at Kendal in September 2021. Daniel O’Reilly (Forward) Appearances: 0 Goals: 0 Signed in October 2020 from Newcastle Benfield, 30-year-old Daniel has previous experience of playing in the League of Ireland. Joshua Hewson (Forward) Appearances: 1 Goals: 0 Signed on the eve of the new season from Durham City. Andy Toman (Manager) A favourite with Bishops’ supporters as a player in the 1980s Andy was appointed on 1st October 2020 after the club parted company with Ian Chandler. An ex- professional with Lincoln City, Darlington and Hartlepool United Andy is also a UEFA qualified coach with previous managerial experience in the Northern league with Guisborough Town and Northallerton. Andy has most recently been living and working in Norway. Ian McGuckin (Assistant Manager) Ian like Andy also has experience as a professional with Fulham, Oxford and Hartlepool United and is also a UEFA qualified coach. Ian did have a brief spell here at Bishops in the early 2000s when Brian Honour was in charge.
‘WATCHING BISHOP AUCKLAND VIA SOCIAL MEDIA.’ (IN A PANDEMIC!) By Roy Cavanagh
INTRODUCTION.
On the 6th February 2020 I was proud to be at Heritage Park, the home of Bishop Auckland FC for the launch of my play ‘Bishop United’ which with the great help from my friend Steve Newcomb finally came to fruition.
It covers the incredibly help a non-league football club helped one of the world’s greatest football clubs in their real hour of need. On the same date of the 6th February back in 1958 the Manchester United plane crashed on its third attempted take off from Munich airport returning from a European Cup quarter final tie in Belgrade which had seen United qualify for their second successive European Cup semi-final.
Eventually eight of the famous side known as the ‘Busby Babes’ would die, along with the same number of the finest journalists Britain have produced. At the time I was four months short of my tenth birthday and already a regular attendee at Old Trafford to see that side. I was devastated and the ramifications from the crash were such that Manchester United could, have at the very least, have been relegated or possibly even worse. Not being anywhere near properly insured the loss of so many footballers, two more would never play again due to their injuries, and five more were in a Munich hospital recovering.
To continue playing Manchester United needed a minimum of 22 players to play in the First Division and the Central League and although they had a marvellous youth set up were still short of players. That was where, due to a very strong friendship between stricken manager Matt Busby and Bob Hardisty, the legendary Bishop Auckland and England amateur footballer, three Bishop Auckland footballers, including Bob by then coming to the end of his playing career, a marvellous forward called Derek Lewin and a young Manchester lad starting his way to the top with Bishop, Warren Bradley, all offered to help the club.
That gesture certainly is never forgotten by myself, or any Manchester United follower of the time. From this at the 60th anniversary of the disaster in 2018, I decided to put it out there via social media to inform many more of the United support. The response was brilliant, a commemorative wall at the Bishop Auckland ground includes everybody who perished in the disaster from monies raised and the idea of a book, from which came the play, was started in regular conversations with Steve Newcomb, a former Bishop Auckland chairman and now somebody proud to call my friend.
I am honoured to now be an ambassador of the club and they are as much in my thoughts are as Manchester United. So, when suddenly the whole world was engulfed in the Covid 19 virus a mere five weeks after the launch of the play, football was a mere speck on the minds of people as so many people were suffering and people losing their lives. When the new football season was mooted to start, without spectators at the professional level, I was more and more drawn to seeing what Bishop Auckland would do in the new season.
For their part, at their level of the game, reduced attendances were being allowed, 300 maximum for instance, so I thought as I followed a couple of early matches on twitter, hey let us see how ‘my’ team would fare by the various social media options. Here goes, ‘Up the Two Blues’.
AUGUST 2020;
Football, due to money pressures assumedly, returned in the middle of summer via the various television channels of Sky, BT Sport but the odd one managed to get on BBC. No spectators were allowed and the real worry as time moved on, what was going to be the effect to the lower and non-league clubs who were not buffeted by all the money from television.
The 2019/20 season was only completed in the Premier and Championship leagues, although the FA Cup was completed as were the final stages of the two European Club Cup competitions. The FA Cup was actually played on the 1st August 2020, competed by two London sides Arsenal and Chelsea with Arsenal winning 2-1. The final, therefore, took place a month before the extra preliminary round qualifying tie took place for the2020/21 season. I instantly looked for Bishop Auckland’s fate and it was a home draw with Yorkshire side Hall Road Rangers from Hull.
SEPTEMBER 2020;
Everything at Bishop Auckland had been, despite the awful Covid 19 situation, on a marvellous note as the club decided not to sit back and just wait for something to happen but to be as positive as possible and set targets, targets to raise vital finance. Led by Chairman Steve Coulthard, everybody seemed to buy into the efforts needed with seemingly simple ideas acted on to great success. A catering hut offering food and drink seven days a week became a big hit for the club for locals and those traveling past the ground on the main thoroughfare. Then the opening of a Sunday morning Car Boot sale, again attracting people to Heritage Park. When the club shop was able to reopen as restrictions started to be lifted Maureen Bushell was able to have her souvenirs and mementoes to sell of this famous football club.
The ground and pitch looked marvellous thanks to such as David Illingworth, Peter Jackson, Paul Cooper, Shaun Cooper and Gary Ventress and everything was in place as locals rallied around to give the club a decent chance to not just survive under these extreme pressures but improve. Could promotion from the Northern League Division One even be possible? Wednesday 2nd; FA Cup Extra Preliminary Qualifying tie HALL ROAD RANGERS (H) WON 1- 0 Team; Liversedge, Marshall (sub Nixon), Dixon, Potter, Summers, Davis, Connor, Goldsborough (sub Hogan), Hutchinson, Winn, Morris
Bishop Auckland although famous for their marvellous FA Amateur Cup exploits, they always competed strongly in the senior FA Cup with a 4th round defeat in 1955 to the cup giant killers of that season, York City being their furthest run in the competition. That would have been over at their old ground, Kingsway, now their home is Heritage Park, a super custom built stadium which staged this cup tie.
In the extra preliminary round there were actually 368 teams entered with a further 136 sides to join the winners for the actual preliminary round. The referee though must have had serious doubts at times during the game due to the dreadful weather, which deposited high levels of rain, if he would be able to complete the tie.
The superb Hertiage Park pitch though stood up very well and the crowd of 263 saw a very entertaining match. That figure of 263 was only 37 short of the maximum of 300 which were able to attend matches at this level of football Bishop Auckland were involved in. Mind you from an FA Cup Final which had just been staged with no fans, 263 was a plus! Those fans present would have to wait until the 93rd minute for a goal, and that would come from a penalty given to Bishop Auckland, and slotted home by Chris Winn. If he had not scored, the game itself would have gone to penalties as no replays this season in the FA Cup. That goal though was also worth £1,128 to Bishop as they progressed to the next round.

Newton Aycliffe FC – A brief history
The club joined the Wearside League in 1984–85 and spent just under a decade in that league, their best finish being in 1988–89 when they finished in seventh place. They folded in March of the 1993–94 season after picking up two points from their opening 20 games. The team competed in the FA Vase in every season, their best run being in 1991–92 when they got to the third round. The club reformed and played in local football before joining the Durham Alliance. They won that league in 2007–08 and joined the Wearside League. The club was elected into the Northern League for the 2009–10 season, after finishing first in their previous season in the Wearside Football League. Finishing in ninth place in their first season in the second division of the Northern League, they went on to become the Champions of the division with three games remaining. Having anticipated the possibility months before, the team were required to make more improvements to the home ground to be eligible to play in the First Division of the Northern League. Upon ensuring their place in the top division, they finished in ninth place and participated in the FA Cup for the first time.

Adam Pickford (Goalkeeper) - Adam Pickford has been with the club since January 2019 having initially joined as an emergency goalkeeper. Following a string of impressive displays Pickford was able to tie down the gloves and has now made the number one jersey his own. Pickford is comfortable with any range of trouble he faces and is quickly establishing himself as one of the Northern League’s top goalkeepers. Jack Naylor (Defender) - Jack Naylor is a new recruit having joined the club from rivals Shildon in the summer. Naylor spent two seasons at Dean Street have been picked up from Hartlepool United’s set-up. Naylor is comfortable at the heart of the defence or at right back and the youngster brings added talent to Aycliffe’s defensive line. Nick Green (Defender) - Joined the club in the summer of 2019 from FA Vase finalists Consett. Green is a competent and versatile fullback who can ply his trade on either side of the back four. Since arriving Green has established himself as an important player in the Aycliffe side able to contribute both defensively and in attack.
John Jury (Defender) - Experienced fullback, joined the club late in pre-season this summer as cover for a number of positions across the Aycliffe backline. Jury has experience at the Beaumont Landscapes Stadium previously and is very vocal along the defensive line adding competition for places in Colin Stromsoy’s side.
Chris Mason (Defender) - Newton Aycliffe native and new signing having joined his hometown club in the summer. A perennial figure and captain in the Spennymoor Town defence for 11 years, Mason brings with him a wealth of experience to the squad as a league and cup winner - including captaining the Moors to their 2013 FA Vase success. A model professional and a leader in the dressing room.
Callum Munro (Defender) - Signed in September 2020 and is a versatile defender capable of playing in a number of positions such as centre back, right back or in a more advanced position on the right. Previously of Whitley Bay and Seaham Red Star, and with over 150 appearances for Bishop Auckland, Munro has an array of experience at this level and bolsters the back line
Aaron Brown (Defender) - The skipper is the heart and soul of Newton Aycliffe having notched up over 250 appearances for the club since his arrival in 2014. A product of Hartlepool United’s academy, Brown spent a season in Sweden at Ange IF after spells at West Auckland Town and Sunderland RCA as a youngster. An ever present and an integral part of the Aycliffe team and system, Brown is a strong defender who is capable in the opposition penalty area too.
Aidan McGee (Defender) - A no nonsense centre back and has come on leaps and bounds in his endeavours to make that position his own. Alongside Callum Munro, Chris Mason and Jack Naylor, McGee finds himself in a healthy battle for a spot in Colin Stromsoy’s starting XI in the heart of the defence. Good in the air and comfortable at playing out from the back, McGee is solid defender in the Aycliffe ranks.
Lewis Walton (Defender) - Arrived in 2019 having enjoyed spells with Whitley Bay, Darlington and Jarrow Roofing. Walton enjoyed a successful first season with the club and made the leftback position his own in 2020. A lively character in the dressing room with a strong left foot, Walton is a key player both defensively and going forward.
Alex Walker (Defender) - New signing having arrived from Chester-le-Street in the summer. Walker made a number of impressive appearances during pre-season and made his Northern League Division One debut in the season opener against Billingham Town and did not look out of place at the heart of the defence. Good in the air and with the ball at his feet Walker is another strong addition to the squad.
Joe Ferguson (Midfielder) - A pacey left-sided player capable of playing either at fullback or on the wing. Ferguson is a new signing having joined from Guisborough Town in the summer. He enjoyed two spells with the Priorymen having re-joined the club from Marske United and featured in the two meetings with Aycliffe at the KGV Ground in 2020.
Shaun Ryder (Midfielder) - Entering his third season with Newton Aycliffe having signed from rivals Bishop Auckland in 2019. A hard working, versatile midfielder capable of travelling from box-to-box and getting on the scoresheet as proved with a number of important goals during his debut season. Ryder missed the majority of 2020 through injury and will be a welcome addition back in the midfield.
Ethan Wood (Midfielder) - Has been at the club for three years having signed from Easington Colliery in 2018. The 22-year-old has developed into a key component in the Aycliffe team and one of the better midfielders in the Northern League; neat and tidy on the ball with an impressive set piece delivery and a fierce strike from range. Wood has started to contribute goals and Man of the Match displays to his game making him a good all-rounder.
Marc Costello (Midfielder) - One of the most experienced players in the Newton Aycliffe squad, Marc Costello has been with the club for a number of seasons having signed from Washington. Costello has a wealth of knowledge at this level including with Hebburn Town and is an important figure in the dressing room. Costello is the engine room in the heart of midfield, good in the air and not afraid to do the dirty side of the game.
Ben Dibb-Fuller (Midfielder) - Signed during the summer of 2020 to link up once more with Head Coach Colin Stromsoy, Ben is another technically sound player. Comfortable as a number eight or a number 10, has a lot of ability between the lines. He joined the club from Hebburn Town after impressing in pre-season and adds to an energetic attacking third and featured in 14 of the 16 games played last season.
Jake Petitjean (Midfielder) - Signed for the club in late autumn 2019 after impressing for Crook Town in Northern League Division Two. Has made the step up to Division One comfortably and is fast becoming a standout player in the division. The former Stockton Town youth prospect is a technically gifted player, comfortable with the ball at his feet and can contribute goals to the team. Petitjean featured in all 16 games in 2020-21 scoring nine times and earning four Man of the Match awards.
Ben Wood (Midfielder) - Returns to the club having enjoyed spells at the Beaumont Landscapes Stadium in the past. The former Sunderland youngster is well versed in the Northern League having claimed league success with Shildon as well as spending time at West Auckland Town during his career. Wood arrives to offer experience and a competition for places within the Aycliffe midfield.
Andrei-Vasile Adrelean (Forward) - Following a short spell with Guisborough Town, Andrei joined Colin Stromsoy at Team North in 2017 where he helped them gain promotion. Since then he has had spells at Blyth Spartans and Whitley Bay before reuniting with Stromsoy in January 2020 as part of a new look Newton Aycliffe frontline where he impressed before the season was curtailed due to the Coronavirus with injury plaguing his 2020-21 campaign.
Liam Jarvie (Forward) - Arrived in October 2019 when he made the jump from the Wearside League with Darlington Town. Versatile across the forward line and loves to run at defenders with the ball at his feet. A big character in the dressing room and on the field Jarvie offers goals, assists and pace in the final third of the pitch.
Sonni Coleman (Forward) - Joins from Guisborough Town after enjoying a successful spell at the KGV Ground. At just 24-years-old Coleman brings a wealth of experience having been a product of Stockton Town’s youth system where he starred for England Schoolboys U18’s in a Home Nations tournament before progressing to the Anchors first team squad in 2015. Tall and quick, Coleman is another clinical finisher in the Aycliffe attack.
Adam Burnicle (Forward) - Joined the club in January 2020 after a shake-up in the Aycliffe forward line. Hit the ground running in style scoring eight goals in his first 10 games with the club to quickly become a favourite. With spells at Shildon, Morpeth Town and West Auckland Town under his belt, Burnicle is an experienced centre forward who knows where the net is.
Warren Byrne (Forward) - Re-joins the club after a number of spells previously including during the club’s historic Division Two championship winning campaign in 2010-11. Played a vital role in helping secure the club’s promotion to Division One with his goals and brings back with him a wealth of experience and know-how as to finding the back of the net.

Our members work hard to provide Bishop Auckland FC (BAFC) with additional funds to help with the day to day expenses that most of us never think about when we come along to a game. Our most recent achievements and contributions to BAFC and the local community include….
➢ Launching of the '500 club' lottery in Jan 2017 which continues to grow and to date we have donated over £10,000 to BAFC. ➢ Organise and subsidise away travel for supporters. ➢ Donated monies to charities of choice of our late Director Brian Watson and ex- player Jackie Foster. ➢ Sponsorship of home games, players kits and the BAFC official commercial brochure. ➢ Donations to help players get medical treatment and after care to regain fitness. ➢ Own a stake in BAFC by purchasing shares so we as supporters have representation at the AGM.
What benefits are available to Supporters Club members?
➢ Discounted travel on official Supporters Club transport to away games ➢ 10% discount from the Club Shop when spending over £30 (not including current home or away shirts) ➢ 15% discount on food purchased at the Merry Monk Pub in Bishop Auckland
