Our monthly support group discusses a variety of issues people with hearing loss face in their daily lives. We off er a supportive environment to share the experiences of having a disability with others who have often experienced the same thing. Some topics we address are:

• How to encourage others to communicate more eff ectively with you • Handling the frustration of not being able to participate in group activities in the same way • Helping your spouse adjust to your hearing loss • Ways to remind others who often forget that you have hearing loss

We discuss recent advances in hearing aid devices and treatments that might help enhance people’s lives. It’s also a great way to meet new people in the community as well as feel you are helping others.
