LOS PLEITOS POR EL MONTE ENTREDICHO DE MALANQUILLA DURANTE LOS REINADOS DE JAIME II Y ALFONSO IV (1313-1337) MIGUEL ÁNGEL SOLÀ MARTÍN Resumen Este trabajo analiza, partiendo de documentación de archivo inédita, el ciclo de enfrentamientos desarrollado entre los años 1313 y 1337 entre los lugares de Aranda de Moncayo y Malanquilla (Zaragoza) por el aprovechamiento agrícola y fo- restal del llamado monte Entredicho. El conflicto, destinado a rebrotar en el futuro, no fue zanjado sino tras dos sentencias reales (1313 o 1314 y 1331), una sentencia arbitral (1317) y un amojonamiento (1315). Palabras clave: proceso judicial, monte Entredicho, Aranda de Moncayo, Malanqui- lla, siglo XIV. Abstract This work analyzes, based on unpublished archive documentation, the cycle of confrontations that happened from 1313 to 1337 between the villages of Aranda de Moncayo and Malanquilla (Saragossa province) because of the agricultural and forestry use of the so-called Mount Entredicho. The conflict, further recurrent, was only fixed by two Royal judgements (dated 1313 or 1314 and 1331), one arbitration judgement (1317) and a boundary process (1315). Received: 15 December 2013 / Accepted: 18 December 2014 / Available online: 25 March 2015 Abstract In 2011 the partial skeleton of a goniopholidid crocodylomorph was recovered in the ENDESA coal mine Mina Corta Barrabasa (Escu- cha Formation, lower Albian), located in the municipality of Andorra (Teruel, Spain). This new goniopholidid material is represented by abundant postcranial and fragmentary cranial bones. The study of these remains coincides with a recent description in 2013 of at least two new species of goniopholidids in the palaeontological site of Mina Santa María in Ariño (Teruel), also in the Escucha Formation. These species are Anteophthalmosuchus escuchae, Hulkepholis plotos and an undetermined goniopholidid, AR-1-3422. In the present paper, we describe the postcranial and cranial bones of the goniopholidid from Mina Corta Barrabasa and compare it with the species from Mina Santa María. -

The lowest-grade assemblage, located on the southern border of the basin, contains calcite + quartz + hematite + kaolinite + mixed-layer illite-smectite (R = 1, 65À85% illite layers) + discrete illite (IC = 0.5À0.65D82y). Systematic increases in the illite and chlorite crystallinities suggest increasing metamorphic grade from the northwest part of the basin to the southeast. This trend does not follow the pattern previously described for the overlying late Berriasian–early Aptian sediments (Urbio´n and Enciso Groups), which exhibit a higher metamorphic grade. This may result from local variations in sedimentary facies, as well as the circulation of hot migratory fluids. Tertiary compression occurring long after the main metamorphic event is considered to be responsible for the enhanced illite and chlorite crystallinities measured in the SE extreme of the basin. -

[email protected]; [email protected] Abstract—Up to now, the ichnological vertebrate record from the Barremian Mirambel Formation (NE Spain) has remained completely unknown despite the fact that osteological findings have been reported in recent years. Here we provide an overview of 11 new dinosaur tracksites found during a fieldwork campaign in the year 2011. The majority of these tracksites (seven) preserve small- to medium-sized tridactyl tracks here assigned to indeterminate theropods. Only one footprint presents enough characters to classify it as Megalosauripus isp. Ornithopod tracks identified asCaririchnium isp. and Iguanodontipodidae indet. -

Milodowskib 4 a British Geological Survey, Maclean Building, Wallingford, OX10 8BB, UK, email: [email protected] 5 b British Geological Survey, Nicker Hill, Keyworth, Nottingham, NG12 5GG, UK 6 * Corresponding author 7 Abstract 8 The Lower Cretaceous Continental Intercalaire of North Africa is a terrestrial to shallow marine 9 continental wedge deposited along the southern shoreline of the Neotethys Ocean. Today it has a wide 10 distribution across the northern Sahara where it has enormous socio-economic importance as a major 11 freshwater aquifer. During the Early Cretaceous major north-south trending basement structures were 12 reactivated in response to renewed Atlantic rifting and in Algeria, faults along the El Biod-Hassi 13 Messaourd Ridge appear to have been particularly important in controlling thickness patterns of the 14 Lower Cretaceous Continental Intercalaire. Subsurface data from the Krechba gas field in Central Algeria 15 shows that the Lower Cretaceous stratigraphy is subdivided into two clear parts. The lower part (here 16 termed the In Salah Formation) is a 200 m thick succession of alluvial deposits with large meandering 17 channels, clearly shown in 3D seismic, and waterlogged flood basins indicated by lignites and gleyed, 18 pedogenic mudstones. The overlying Krechba Formation is a 500 m thick succession of quartz- 19 dominated sands and sandstones whose microstructure indicates an aeolian origin, confirming earlier 20 observations from outcrop. -

Paul 3109 North Calvert Station, Side Apartment, Baltimore, MD 21218-3807, USA Received 20 April 2006; accepted in revised form 27 April 2007 Abstract Criteria for designating dinosaur genera are inconsistent; some very similar species are highly split at the generic level, other anatomically disparate species are united at the same rank. Since the mid-1800s the classic genus Iguanodon has become a taxonomic grab-bag containing species spanning most of the Early Cretaceous of the northern hemisphere. Recently the genus was radically redesignated when the type was shifted from nondiagnostic English Valanginian teeth to a complete skull and skeleton of the heavily built, semi-quadrupedal I. bernissartensis from much younger Belgian sediments, even though the latter is very different in form from the gracile skeletal remains described by Mantell. Currently, iguanodont remains from Europe are usually assigned to either robust I. bernissartensis or gracile I. atherfieldensis, regardless of lo- cation or stage. A stratigraphic analysis is combined with a character census that shows the European iguanodonts are markedly more morpho- logically divergent than other dinosaur genera, and some appear phylogenetically more derived than others. Two new genera and a new species have been or are named for the gracile iguanodonts of the Wealden Supergroup; strongly bipedal Mantellisaurus atherfieldensis Paul (2006. The Palaeontological Association 63rd Annual Meeting 15th–21st December 2019 University of Valencia, Spain PROGRAMME ABSTRACTS AGM papers Palaeontological Association 6 ANNUAL MEETING ANNUAL MEETING Palaeontological Association 1 The Palaeontological Association 63rd Annual Meeting 15th–21st December 2019 University of Valencia The programme and abstracts for the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Palaeontological Association are provided after the following information and summary of the meeting. An easy-to-navigate pocket guide to the Meeting is also available to delegates. Venue The Annual Meeting will take place in the faculties of Philosophy and Philology on the Blasco Ibañez Campus of the University of Valencia. The Symposium will take place in the Salon Actos Manuel Sanchis Guarner in the Faculty of Philology. The main meeting will take place in this and a nearby lecture theatre (Salon Actos, Faculty of Philosophy). There is a Metro stop just a few metres from the campus that connects with the centre of the city in 5-10 minutes (Line 3-Facultats). Alternatively, the campus is a 20-25 minute walk from the ‘old town’. Registration Registration will be possible before and during the Symposium at the entrance to the Salon Actos in the Faculty of Philosophy. During the main meeting the registration desk will continue to be available in the Faculty of Philosophy. Oral Presentations All speakers (apart from the symposium speakers) have been allocated 15 minutes. It is therefore expected that you prepare to speak for no more than 12 minutes to allow time for questions and switching between presenters. We have a number of parallel sessions in nearby lecture theatres so timing will be especially important. -
