2013 Mountain WELCOME… TO THE CANNONDALE TEAM. WE’rE A COLLECTION OF RIDERS, racers, engineers, innovators, and all-around bike nuts who spend their days focused on a single goal – creating the perfect ride…for you. To achieve that, we’re on our bikes every day. We compete. We talk with our fellow riders, from those at the local Wednesday night crits to those racing the Tour or Megavalanche, to those at the stoplight on the morning commute. We listen, we tweak, we test, and we ride some more. This process, this passion for cycling that is the core of Cannondale culture, is the engine that drives us. It is the inspiration for incredible new bikes like the SuperSix EVO Nano – the most advanced road frame ever made, the Trigger – the newest member of the versatile OverMountain family, the blade-thin Slice RS aero bike and the Quick and Quick CX fitness and commuting machines. So whether you’re an elite competitor, a hard-core mountain enthusiast, an everyday commuter, or a weekend trail rider, we have a bike designed just for you – your perfect ride. Welcome to the team. MOUNTAIN REIGN IN ALL TERRAIN. Whether it’s the skilled mayhem of the European Enduro Series, the full-throttle efforts of World Cup XC or just the fast, technical singletrack right out the back door of our Connecticut headquarters, the joy of knobbies on dirt drives us to create inspired mountain bikes that are perfect for your trails and your soul. CHOOSE ADVANTAGES. CHOOSE FUN. CHOOSE CANNONDALE. When Cannondale pioneered use of aluminum bicycles, others soon joined us. When we began using System Integration, our peers hopped on the idea. And when we released the BB30 standard, others within the bicycle industry recognized it as an improvement upon an old design. We don’t rest on those laurels: More changes are on the horizon that benefit riders. To get there, Cannondale’s developers follow several simple product-creation rules that are part of our belief in “Manifest Design”: 1. Have substance behind our designs – real, provable engineering solutions, rather than showy, gimmicky designs that do little for a rider. 2. Match design needs with engineering specs. Anybody can weld three tubes together and call it a bike frame. The key for us is to make products that simultaneously deliver the ultimate performance in a package that’s appealing to ride. 3. Defy tradition when it comes to thinking about bike design. We’ve been doing it for years, and will continue to come up with innovative engineering solutions that do away with excess weight and unneeded complexity. 4. Avail ourselves of the best experts and materials in the industry to succeed in our design innovation. We are the 2009 materials experts, and will continue to push bicycle designs onto new ground when the results contain quantifiable advantages for cyclists. VORTEILE NUTZEN.

  • It's a Good Fight
SINCE 1971... There’s something about the spirit of the people that work at Cannondale. It’s a mindset that’s fiercely competitive. Not so much with other bicycle companies or the various disciplines of the sport. But rather with an invention that, in its simplest form, hasn’t changed for more than 150 years. Today, we live and ride in a world where millimeters and grams can make a difference. The expansion of a tube here and the machining away of a gram there can be significant in how a bike performs. Performance at this level requires starting every project with a blank sheet of paper where standards don’t exist. Sometimes our creations might look different in order to make them perform better. We find that the term ‘conventional wisdom’ is not appropriate to our goals. We like to think that our struggle with form and function, millimeters and grams can make a difference. When executed correctly, fresh bike designs can put more “butts on bikes”. And that’s better for everybody involved. These are the things we fight for. It’s a good fight. 1 L EFTY. The Last Word in Suspension. So revolutionary that it still turns heads more than 10 years after it was released. The Lefty continues to gain converts and gather accolades because it is a no-holds-barred performer. It is, in fact, the last word in suspension: Stiffer and lighter than the competition, the Lefty outperforms every other fork in its class. 2 HO llOWGRAM. Lighter. Better. Faster. Stronger. At 570 grams, the Hollowgram Si SL could be the difference in a bunch sprint or alpine climb.
