Cross Verwijmeren Pty Ltd (Cross Verwijmeren) is a privately owned Western Australian company that specialises in providing earthmoving capability to support exploration, civil construction and mining activities. The company commenced operations in June 2008, supporting mineral exploration activity in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Our ability to supply a quality service to our clients in a safe, efficient and timely manner has seen the business grow rapidly in the past ten years. The focus, dedication, skill and commitment of our personnel has ensured our continued success in delivering a level of service that meets and exceeds our client’s expectations. Our capability spans road construction and maintenance; bulk and detailed earthworks; pad and hard stand construction; geotechnical work; dust suppression and rehabilitation. Continuously building and investing in our equipment and workforce ensures we can offer our clients the most innovative and cost-efficient construction solutions in the market. All of our projects are managed through a single project team with clearly defined, fully accountable, management structures that provide our clients with the benefits of seamless project delivery. Working in partnership with Cross Verwijmeren means our clients will benefit from our specialised approach to the services we provide, as well as our team of skilled support staff. Our ability to provide a quality, professional service, in a safe and efficient manner, is reflected by the continued return service requirements from our clients, and the high proportion of new client referrals. Our Aboriginal Employment Strategy Plan provides targets and guidelines on how to successfully manage sustainable Indigenous employment, through recruitment, mentoring, training and career development. We engage with clients and actively recruit Indigenous people from areas of operational activity. Our Aboriginal Employment Strategy Plan aims to: • recognise and embrace the contribution of Indigenous people within the workplace; • engage Indigenous staff through training and up-skilling across all levels of business; • provide career development opportunities for Indigenous staff; and • provide effective workplace support mechanisms for Indigenous staff. 4 Health, Safety and Environment Our commitment to health, safety and the environment in which we operate is an integral part of our business vision and values. Our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management Plan and Safety Policy were implemented to manage the health, safety and environmental risks associated with our activities. Our HSE Management Plan is based on the Australian Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (AS 4801) and international standard for Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), and incorporates the principles of continuous improvement in the procedures. Regular management and operations level reviews of the policies and procedures contained in the HSE Management Plan ensure it remains relevant and meets contemporary standards. To ensure a consistent approach with detailed site audits and discussions relating to each project, we have established a detailed risk analysis and risk management system to ensure all elements of risk are being identified and addressed. Risk management processes are identified and continually reviewed as an integral part of each contract. Our review processes allow for early detection of any potential risk issues and problem areas.
