Trasferimento all’aeroporto e volo per Bagan, l’antica capitale e luogo di nascita della cultura Myanmar. In mattinata visita alla Pagoda Shwezigon, prototipo del più tardo stupa del Myanmar, il Tempio Wetkyi-in Gubyakkyi con dipinti murali di scene Jataka; il Tempio di Htlominlo noto per i suoi intagli plastici e la Porta Tharabata la più vecchia testimonianza dell’architettura di Bagan. Il pomeriggio inizia con una sosta ad una fabbrica di lacche e si prosegue per il Tempio di Myinkaba Gubyaukkyi in tipico stile Mon; Il Tempio Manuha dove sono rappresentati episodi della vita del Re in prigione e il Tempio Nanpaya con antichi rilievi incisi su pietra arenaria. Pranzo Si prosegue per una sosta fotografica alla Pagoda Seinnyet Nyima un tempio e uno stupa con uno squisito design e la Pagoda Mingalazedi una delle ultime pagode costruite a Bagan, Tramonto da una pagoda disponibile. Cena e pernottamento in hotel. 4° Giorno: 01 MARZO BAGAN Prima colazione in hotel. Mattinata dedicata alla visita alla parte sud est della città dove sono visibili numerosi templi che risalgono al 13mo secolo: Nandamanya; Thambula e Lemyethna famosi per i loro dipinti murali di carattere Mahayani. Pranzo. Pomeriggio dedicato alla visita del Tempio di Ananda, capolavoro architettonico simile nella sua forma ad una Croce Greca; la Pagoda Bupaya in stile Pyu sulle rive del maestoso Ayeyarwaddy e il Tempio Thatbyinnyu uno dei più alti in Bagan. Cena e pernottamento in hotel. 5° Giorno: 02 MARZO BAGAN/MONTE POPA/MANDALAY Prima colazione in hotel. In mattinata trasferimento per Salay, sulla strada per Mandalay. L’ultima capitale della monarchia del Myanmar a 300 Km. Nord-est da Bagan. Si procede per il Monte Popa con fermate in piccoli villaggi sul tragitto e visita al famoso monastero dei 37 Nats, spiriti della tradizione Birmana. Pranzo. Si procede per Mandalay, seconda città più grande, del paese. Cena e pernottamento in hotel. 6° Giorno: 03 MARZO MANDALAY/MINGUN/MANDALAY Prima colazione in hotel. Mattinata escursione a Mingun un villaggio sulla riva occidentale del fiume Ayeyarwaddy. Il tour comprende la visita alla Settawya Pagoda che racchiude un impronta in marmo del Buddha; Pondawyapaya sul fiume; Pahtodawpaya un enorme pila di mattoni che è tutto ciò che rimane del grandioso disegno del Re Bodawpaya; la Campana di Mingun, tra le più grandi del mondo con le sue novanta tonnellate. Si prosegue per il villaggio di Mingun e la Pagoda Shinbume, costruita nel 1816 dal nipote del Re Bodawpayain memoria di un delle sue mogli. Pranzo. Nel pomeriggio il tour comprende il Monastero Shwenandaw noto per i suoi squisiti intagli in legno; la Mahamuni Pagoda e la Pagoda Kuthodaw conosciuta per avere il Libro più grande del mondo trascritto su massi di pietra e a fine giornata sosta alla collina di Mandalay punto panoramico sulla città. Escursione mattutina per l’antica capitale Amarapura a 11 chilometri a sud da Mandalay e visita del monastero Mahagandayon. Pranzo. Nel pomeriggio escursione per Sagaing guidando sul ponte Inva (Ava) che attraversa il fiume Ayeyarwaddy. Attesa del tramonto spettacolare sulle colline di Sagaing, ritiro amato dai devoti buddhisti con le sue numerose pagode e monasteri. Cena e pernottamento in hotel. 8° Giorno: 05 MARZO MANDALAY/PINDAYA/KALAW Colazione in hotel. Partenza in auto verso sud per Mykthina e poi proseguimento verso est per lo stato di Shan. La strada per Pindaya passa attraverso il bellissimo paesaggio dello Shan Plateau. Pranzo. Visita del lago e delle famose grotte che custodiscono centinaia di immagini del Buddha . Si procede per l’antica stazione collinare britannica di Kalaw. Cena e pernottamento 9° Giorno: 06 MARZO KALAW/LAGO INLE Prima colazione in hotel. Si prosegue alla volta di Nyaung Shwe in riva al lago Inle. Pranzo. Il lago è ben conosciuto per la particolare tecnica usata dai rematori nonché la sua bellezza paesaggistica. Cena e pernottamento in hotel. 10° Giorno 07 MARZO INLE Colazione in Hotel. Giornata di escursione al lago, ben conosciuto per la particolare tecnica usata dai rematori nonché per la sua bellezza paesaggistica. I punti principali dell’escursione includono la Pagoda Phaung Daw Oo; meravigliosi giardini galleggianti; pesca secondo i metodi del luogo; tradizionali villaggi di tessitori; e la vita del villaggio sul lago. (Da notare che il mercato galleggiante è presente una volta ogni 5 giorni, ma potrebbe variare a seconda dei giorni sabbatici buddisti). Cena. Pernottamento in Hotel. 11° Giorno 08 MARZO INLE / HEHO / YANGON / KYAIKHTIYO ( via terra) Prima colazione in hotel. Trasferimento in aeroporto volo per Yangon. Partenza per Kyaikhtiyo (la roccia d’oro) a circa 160 km da Yangon (5/6 ore di strada). Lungo il percorso visita del famoso Htauk Kyant War Cemetery, dove 27000 soldati della Seconda Guerra Mondiale sono stati sepolti. Arrivo al Kimpun Base Camp. Pranzo in ristorante locale lungo la strada. Si prenderà il camion per Hermit Hill e si partirà alla volta degli hotels (circa 45 minuti). Dal terminal di arrivo ci sono circa 15 minuti di camminata per il Golden Rock Hotel e 50 minuti per il Mountain Top Hotel. Check in in Hotel. Partenza per la roccia d’oro. Dopo circa 50 mins di camminata dal Golden Rock hotel/ e circa 15 dal Mountain Top si arriva a Kyaikhtiyoe, l’ernorme roccia completamente ricoperta d’oro e sospesa nell’aria. Cena e pernottamento all’hotel. 12° Giorno 09 MARZO KYAIKHTIYO / YANGON /BANGKOK Prima colazione. Rientro al terminal dei camion e partenza per Yangon. Lungo il percorso visita dell’antica capitale Bago (Pegu), tour che comprende la visita di Shwemawdaw, una delle pagode più venerate in Myanmar; Shwethalyaung Buddha reclinato e 4 grandi immagini di Buddha nella KyeikPun Pagoda.
