➢ Under settings you can change all your account information, language, privacy, ad preference, how to block a person,who can tag you, post to your timeline, security and how you log in. ➢ It is very important when you create a new social media account to check how all the settings are, normally when you make an account there is little to no privacy settings in place. ➢ You can choose friends to help you get back into your account if you lock yourself out. If you are a person that forgets passwords and/or has multiple email accounts, i would recommend this option. ➢ Where you’re logged in shows every place you have not logged out of a facebook session. Who can see your future post, who can see your friends list, review all your posts and things you’re tagged in and limit the audience for posts you’ve shared with friends of friends or public. ➢ Who can contact me? Do you trust them with you data? What is their business model? What is their privacy policy and track record? ✵ What benefits are you getting in return for your data? Are they worth the trade-off? ✵ Is there a better alternative out there? iPhone-press and hold an app until they start jiggling with x’s over them, delete the app.

Android-settings-application manager-click the app you want deleted-click “uninstall”and “done” TURN OFF LOCATION SETTINGS FOR EVERYTHING except maps. Your phone tracks everywhere you go. ◊ With a simple right click of the mouse you can delete an entire folder or open the folder and delete items individually. ◊ Once you delete an item a pop-up will come up asking if you want to move the item to the recycle or trash bin. ◊ If you are sure, click “yes”. ◊ When you move an item to the recycle bin you are still able to restore the item if you realize you moved it in error. Simply hit the “restore item”. ◊ If you are sure you want to delete all items you can either right click on the mouse to delete items or open the recycle bin and click “empty recycle bin” ◊ Once you delete the bin you are unable to restore items.
