We commit to projects that genui- nely improve the everyday lives of people, both in developing and emerging countries and in the French overseas territories. We operate in a number of sectors— energy, health, biodiversity, water, digital technologies, training—to assist with the transition towards a safer, more equitable and more sustainable world: a world in common. Our action is fully in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through its network of 85 agencies, AFD operates in 110 countries, where it is currently financing, supervising and supporting over 3,600 deve- lopment projects.
