Quarantine Team Challenge! Quarantine Team Challenge! Quarantine Team Building emails: Thanks for signing up - Purpose: Most or all orthodontic teams are on furlough. Because of this, we decided to make a month long list of things you could do with your teammates to keep up the morale and unity of your office! We all need a little encouragement, upliftment, and friendship to keep us afloat in these difficult times. We have come up with some ideas that you can do, one a day, Monday - Friday for a whole month! Feel free to mix them up in any order, or add your own ideas to the list, but we can promise you that if you try to implement these fun activities, you'll keep the positivity and creativity flowing, even when the month is over! Let’s keep your team culture unified and positive this next month, and here are a few ways you can do it! **We will be selecting offices and featuring them on our instagram if you tag us in what you are doing! As the Doctor of Office Manager, Here’s some tips on how you can introduce the Team Building Challenge- Quarantine Edition to your team members. To Make it as effective as possible: -Enroll - reach out to your team and enroll them into the Team Challenges. Address the following questions: Why is it important to you? How will it help the team? What’s your vision for this experience and how it’ll support your office beyond the quarantine? - Establish - communicate a time to connect each day to uplift each other. These daily meetups are meant to be brief, 5-20 minutes, so it’s achievable and quick. ***If you can’t set a specific time to meet, then have a time set that you want everyone to send in their accomplished challenge for the day. - Pick a platform- Thanks to technology, your team can connect in a variety of ways. Pick which one(s) work for you: Text, facetime, fb messenger, Marco Polo app, Zoom, Skype, whatsApp, Google Hangouts **** For Extra “bonus points” post it on IG and tag me @dino_watt. Each week I will pick a winning team!***** - Commit- Do everything you can to hold the virtual team huddle every day. Besides being a way to connect, this is also a way to strengthen you & your team’s commitment muscle. Be bigger than your excuses and make it happen! - Celebrate- Collaborate with your team and create a reward/celebration for when your team completes the challenge. This could be a virtual party, or hopefully, an in-person party! © 2020 DinoWatt.com 1 Quarantine Team Challenge! -Document (this is optional, but could be really effective) document this time together in a way you can review it at the end. (i.e, save the photos, videos, texts in one place to view or print out and share!) Ex. chatbooks or photobook at Costco, a slideshow to view later. Share it on your IG and Facebook to show your clients that you are continuing to be united as their smile providers. ● Daily documenting of this team building could be great content for your office Instagram. ● Keeping a history of this will be a great momento in the future when we all look back to this time in our lives. WEEK 1 DAY: 1. Uplifting QOTD: Quote of the Day Let’s start off easy. Share your favorite uplifting, inspiring quote. This could be shared through a group message, on a zoom call, marcopolo… whatever feels right for your office! 2. Secret Santa Day- The Dr. or office manager will pick names out of hat. Send your partner something in the mail and then a few days later have a reveal party over zoom. ”gifts” should be free or inexpensive. Focus on sending something uplifting like a greeting card, a handwritten letter of what you admire about them, an amazon delivery of their favorite treat, or drop off fresh baked goodies on their doorstep. Keep it small and meaningful. It’s the thought that really counts. 3. Meme roundup challenge-- Share the funny!! Create your own hilarious meme about life in quarantine then post it on your office IG page or share it with your Team group chat! This will help you stay connected to your community! Here's an example: © 2020 DinoWatt.com 2 Quarantine Team Challenge! 4. Create a Tik Tok! - Tik Tok is the hottest trend out there, so why not jump on this bandwagon while there's nothing else to do!? Here is a link to a popular dance that you can learn separately. When you feel like you have the moves down, record yourself! The person with the best technology knowledge on the team can take everyone's videos and create an Office MashUp! Watch it together and then post it on your office (and individual) Instagram! Feel free to choose a different song and dance, this is your Tik Tok, so have fun with it! 5. Dance party - If you know me, you know I love to dance! Even when I can't go to my dance class, I still find ways to have fun with my moves! Get on a Zoom call together, and dance to 1-3 songs of your choosing! Get the blood pumping, energy level up, and exercise steps in. Don't forget to record the meeting so you can share your party with the world! Or not. But again, this could be great content for your Practice Facebook or Instagram. WEEK 2 6. Virtual lunch date - Over a skype/Zoom call, get everyone together with your favorite lunch and play “Never Have I Ever” with your teammates! Here’s a little video of the game to give you an idea of how the game is played! Every team member should create their own sign. One side should say “I Have” and the other should say “I Have Not”. Every team member should have a few ‘never have I ever’ statements ready to go, with everyone going around and saying theirs. Laugh and ask for the stories behind the statements, and share some of the best ones with loved ones! Here are a few examples of some PG “never have I ever” statements - Never Have I Ever … - Left the country - Gotten a tattoo that I regret - Lied to friends so that I wouldn't have to leave my bed - Binged watched a trashy Netflix show - Been so drunk I’ve passed out - Bailed a friend out of jail - Used someone else's toothbrush - Puked in public - Left early on a first date w/o telling him/her 7. Arts & Crafts & Motivation - © 2020 DinoWatt.com 3 Quarantine Team Challenge! We know that serving the community is a bit of a challenge at the moment, but there are still a few things that you can do to help your fellow man and brighten up your day! One of the activities we’ve thought of was Surprise ChalkWalks - draw art and motivation on one of your teammates driveways/sidewalks! Be sure to take pictures and share them with your office at the next Zoom call! 8. Joke of the Day - On a zoom call with your office, a Marco Polo or a what’s app- tell your best, silliest, clean joke! Start your day with a laugh, and gain some more jokes that you can use later on at family get-togethers! 9. Funny photo - We know you haven't changed out of your pajamas in 3 days, so let’s see who's got the best bed head! If you don’t feel like sharing a pic of you in your pj’s, then show your team a pic of what your Apocalypse outfit would be! Share your pictures on your daily zoom call or in the office group message and have everyone vote which are their top 3 favorites. The winners get bragging rights and their picture posted on the office instagram! I’ll go first. 10. Brag party - Get to know your team better! On a Zoom or Facetime call, go around and let everyone tell the team 3 things about yourself that most don’t know about you(or accomplishments/unique abilities)! © 2020 DinoWatt.com 4 Quarantine Team Challenge! WEEK 3 11. Team workout - Get on a call together and do a 15min workout routine using the same youtube video! Be sure to record the video, and whatever Office makes the best/funniest one will be featured on our instagram! 12. Quarantine Lyfe - Show us your biggest and funniest quarantine fails! Reality check- we know that the house is a mess and the kids are drawing on the walls and you haven't showered in days or seen the sunlight in weeks, so instead of being self-conscious about it, show it off!! Take a picture that sums up LYFE in quarantine, and show it off at the next zoom call. Vote to see who's got the messiest/funniest/most relatable photo, and that team member will win a prize! (Office decides the prize!) 13. Spread Joy - Tell your office a positive story of something inspirational happening during quarantine. This could be a personal account, something you saw online, or something you were hoping to accomplish for someone else. Spread that joy and goodness to your team members at the next zoom call! 14. Time to Bake - Share your favorite cookie recipe with the office! Then either - Pick one recipe and everyone get online and cook it together, Or Make your famous recipes and doorbell ditch your team-members with the delicious treat! 15.

  • Best Apps for Long-Distance Couples
Best for basic video calling: Skype Skype is a free video-calling program that works on phones, tablets and computers, allowing people to do audio and video chatting from anywhere they have a data connection. Being able to see the other person allows you to see their facial expressions, share pictures, and see their environment. This not only adds important information but brings a higher level of intimacy. "Dave and I used Skype when I was working in Phoenix and he was home in another state," says Meghan Johnson. "It definitely helped to see each other instead of just hearing. It felt more real and we were able to connect better, especially when one person isn't much of a phone talker." Can long-distance relationships really work? Best for couples on different schedules: Marco Polo If you combined a walkie talkie, a video recorder, and email, and then added silly filters, you'd get Marco Polo (free for Android and iOS). This "visual walkie talkie" app is great for couples who operate on wildly different schedules, making Skype or traditional phone calls difficult. You can send your honey a video message whenever you feel like it and they can open it whenever they're ready. "My husband Jonathan and I work opposite shifts and rarely see each other during the week. We use Marco Polo to send video messages to each other," says Michelle Stilley of Omaha, Nebraska. "It's nice because we can watch them and reply on our own tine, rather than making sure we're both available at the same time to chat." Not getting much of a response from a long-distance love? These signs suggest the problem could be you.

  • The Momo Challenge
the Momo Challenge Momo Is A No No The Momo Challenge has recently dominated headlines not once, but twice—first because it was supposedly linked to a 12-year-old’s suicide in Buenos Aires, then more recently because it allegedly began popping up in children’s videos online. But the second time, it became more complicated: Was it an actual challenge scaring children into harming themselves and others? Or was it made up in order to increase page views and interactions on social media? This confusion only added to the chaos, with concerned parents unsure who to believe or what to do. On the one hand, if it isn’t fabricated, then they want to talk to their kids about it ASAP, as well as take measures to ensure they never fall prey to it. But on the other hand, if it is indeed false, then they don’t want to needlessly scare their kids or add to the pandemonium. This Guide seeks to wade through all the information currently available to help you make sense of the whole debacle and offers practical ways to address it with your children and teenagers. What is it exactly? It’s an online challenge that targets teens, tweens, and even younger children (via snippets in YouTube Kids videos) and encourages them to contact an unknown person called Momo (represented by a woman with a gaunt face, bulging eyes, and creepy smile) via WhatsApp or Facebook primarily (though any other platform with messaging capabilities can also be used). The account then sends them violent/graphic images and texts, telling them to engage in various “challenges, which start out small and strange, then escalate to harming themselves and others, possibly culminating in the final challenge of committing suicide.
