DUKE Abstract: A historical review is given of the taxonomic placements of the genus Spiramiopsis and of the previous records of the immature stages and larval foodplants of its sole species, S. comma H am pson . The only confirmed larval foodplants of the species are twining asclepiads of the genus Secamone. The entire life history and all immature stages of S. comma are described and illustrated, including the chaetotaxy of the first-instar larva. The larva and pupa of S. comma are compared with those of other bombycoid families having larvae with dorsal processes, viz. Brahmaeidae, Lemoniidae, Bombycidae, Saturniidae, Sphingidae and Mirinidae, to assess whether S. comma agrees with any of these in preimaginal characters and whether any such agreements are structurally identical. Spiramiopsis is placed in the latest phylogenetic classification system of the Bombycoidea (M inet 1994) according to its preimaginal characters, where it comes near the Lemoniidae and Brahmaeidae but is not traceable to any specific family. -

Ligustrum sinense Ligustrum sinense Chinese privet Introduction The genus Ligustrum contains approximately 45 species worldwide. Members of the genus are small trees or shrubs, growing primarily in warm regions of Asia, but also found in northwestern Europe, and southern Australia, Malaysia and New Guinea. In China, 28 native species, with two introduced species, two subspecies, nine varieties, and one form have been reported [128][191]. It is located here: http://www.cabi.org/cabreviews © CAB International 2018 (Online ISSN 1749-8848) Abstract The arthropod and fungal natural enemies of privets (Ligustrum spp., Oleaceae) are listed, based on the data from taxonomic and nomenclatural websites, printed and electronic literature searches, including CAB Abstracts. Initially, the lists were compiled to identify and assess those natural enemies occurring on Ligustrum robustum in its indigenous Asian range as part of a classical biological control programme for the island of La Réunion, where this privet species has become a problematic invasive alien weed. However, because other species of Ligustrum are also posing invasive problems in other parts of the world, wherever they have been introduced, the lists have been expanded to cover all species in the genus. These records of natural enemies of Ligustrum, together with the distribution data, should enable those involved with the issues of invasive privets to assess the potential of classical biological control as an option for their management. As a further aid, an overview of those natural enemies considered to have the highest potential as classical biological control agents for L. robustum is included. -

The table first presented at the Panel meeting in Helsinki (2000-02-8/10) and then in Perm’ (2000-07-04/07), Paris (2001-03-13/15), Zagreb (2001-07-03/05), Vilnius (2002-03-12/14), Paris (2002-09-24/26), Riga (2003-04-01/04), Venezia (IT, 2003-10-1/3) and Grisslehamn (SE, 2004-09-27/29) was devided into 10 tables: (1) the most important (for non-European part of the EPPO region) pests for which PRA was performed by the Panel; (2) forest pests causing significant damage on the territory of the former USSR (intended to be included into the PQR system), for which either more information is needed, or for which pathways do not at present exist, or whose host plants are not of importance for Central and Western Europe; (3a) less important (for non-European part of the EPPO region) pests which are present in Central/Western Europe; (3b) forest pests causing significant damage on the territory of the former USSR, which may present risk only or mainly to plants, which are not considered as forest trees and shrubs in most of the non-Asian part of the -

Gyeonggi, 487-821, Korea Abstract: In this study, we conducted the investigation of insect fauna of Mt. Bongmi-san (856 m) stretching in Seolak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun and Danwol-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun. Four times of surveys were made from May to October 2008. In total, 279 species of 69 families within 13 orders were observed. Key words: Insect Fauna, Mt.
