Sarah Kawahara is a Canadian born director/choreographer well known for her television and touring show productions. She won her first Emmy (television award) for Best Choreography for CBS special “Scott Hamilton: Upside Down”. She also won the American Choreography Award for Outstanding Achievement in Television Variety or Special and won her second Emmy for Best Choreography; both for the Opening Ceremonies of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. At age 17, she joined as a principal and toured for seven years. She began her choreography career with , creating “ICE” for Radio City Music Hall/Shipstad Productions. She continued to choreograph Scott Hamilton’s numbers until he retired. Other clients include:

Sarah Kawahara is known for finding and developing hidden treasures of movement in skaters, helping to create a signature style unique to the individual skater. In addition, she has enhanced the signature of many champions and can help you discover and develop your own signature style.

In today’s skating climate, time to expand and experiment is limited. Sarah’s comprehensive workshops find & explore inspiration and help skaters own their performance. They offer limitless fun and color to your skaters’ repertoire, expanding the way they think, their perception, and increasing their vocabulary of movement.
