The First World War Museum Network is comprised of 19 bodies, small and large. These, which are The Museums and spread throughout the province, are testimony to the First World War the interest that the First World War continues to in Trentino generate. Behind the museums there are opening sites pertinent to the war: mountains marked by trenches and permanent fortifications. Artefacts of that terrible war, when tens of thousands of men lived in extreme conditions, have been gathered from these sites, saved and displayed in museums by the passion of dedicated volunteers. Although not always exclusively, these museums are dedicated to the memory of that conflict and are part of the wider “Trentino First World War Network”.
