Welcome

Prepare Your Hearts

Call to Worship

Leader: Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. People: Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth;

on that very day his plans perish. Leader: Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever;

who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. People: The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord

loves the righteous. Leader: The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. People: The Lord will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations.

Praise the Lord! Psalm 146 of Adoration

Confession of Sin – Leon France

Leader: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not

loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. People: We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus , have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your

Name. Amen. Silent of sin 1

Assurance of God’s Forgiveness

Leader: Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

People: This hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. From the Book of Common Prayer and Romans 5:1-2, 5

Title: He is With You to Help You*

Worship Through Communion Grace welcomes all baptized Christians who forsake their sin, trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and have made profession of faith in any evangelical church to receive Communion with us.

Profession of Faith Leader: What is your only comfort in life and in death? People: That I, with body and soul, both in life and in death, am not my

own, but belong to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ, who with His precious blood has fully satisfied for all my sins, and redeemed me from all the power of the devil; and so preserves me, that without

the will of my Father in heaven not a hair can fall from my head; indeed, all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life

and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him. From the Heidelberg , Modern English Edition, Q. 1
