The Columbia County School District may have to limit dual enrollment college classes for high school stu- dents after state legislators passed a bill requiring dis- tricts to cover the costs of the widely popular program. County School Superintendent Terry Huddleston expects the dis- trict to pay $250,000 in annual fees related to dual enroll- ment, a cost that will most likely result in a decline in area high school students attending colleges for classes.
