Thursday: Play Reading Group, 7:00 PM Thursday night the group will read the second and final act of Barefoot in Athens, by Maxwell Anderson. If you’d like to take part, contact [email protected] to be sent the material. Robin will provide a copy of the play in pdf form.

Friday Social—Bar opens at 4, Music and Draws at 6, Music By Tim McCollough and Brian Bradley, 5-7 PM This week in music in the garden, Tim McCollough and Brian Bradley will entertain with covers from your favourite artists, including Tom Petty, Santana, Steely Dan, Paul Simon, Neil Young, and others. Come for the fun, the family and the music. See you there.

August Art Show with Louise Carota The Haviland Club is hosting an Open House and Art Show to celebrate its reopening. From 2 – 6pm most days in August, featuring Artist Louise Carota’s paintings (thanks, Bert, for covering Tuesdays). Visits will include public tours of the Club for those interested. Still Asking… The Haviland Club garden overhaul continues (so far so fabulous!) The club is hoping for donations, for plants and of plants. Please let Susan, Sue or Cathy on Friday if you can chip in, and if you have perennials to donate, please let Susan know.

What did we hear? That the rubber sandal was created by a Frenchman. You know, the famous Phillipe Philoppe.
