SENADO FEDERAL REQUERIMENTO Nº 895, DE 2013 Requeiro, nos termos do artigo 222 do Regimento Interno do Senado Federal, a inserção em ata de Voto de Congratulações e Aplausos, para o amazonense José Aldo da Silva Oliveira Júnior, pela sua vitória na luta da UFC 163 contra o coreano Chang Sung, que permitiu a manutenção do cinturão, bem como seja encaminhado o referido voto no seguinte endereço: Avenida Max Teixeira, Bloco 25 Aptº 203, residencial Osias Monteiro. 69.095-000, Manaus/AM. JUSTIFICAÇÃO O amazonense José Aldo foi o grande vitorioso brasileiro na última luta da UFC, ocorrido no último dia 03 de agosto. O manauara enfrentou mais dificuldades que o previsto, mas conseguiu a vitória contra o lutador Chan Sung Jung, da Coreia do Sul, já no quarto round, vencendo a luta principal do UFC 163, realizado na noite do dia 03 de Agosto de 2013 no Rio. José Aldo da Silva Oliveira Júnior nasceu em Manaus, no dia 9 de setembro de 1986 é um lutador brasileiro de MMA especialista em Muay thai. Ele é o atual campeão do UFC na categoria peso pena representando as artes marciais brasileiras. Atualmente, segundo os mais famosos rankings de MMA, Aldo é classificado como o Peso Pena número 1 e está entre os 3 melhores lutadores peso-por-peso do MMA mundial. Aldo foi consagrado 2 recebendo o prêmio World MMA Awards de "Lutador do Ano de 2010". Aldo atualmente é classificado em 4 no Ranking Peso por Peso do UFC. Após rodar em eventos nacionais, Aldo fez sua estreia no WEC em 1 de junho de 2008, no Arco Arena em Sacramento, Califórnia. Em sua estreia com a organização, ele derrotou o lutador Alexandre Nogueira no WEC 34. Em sequência na organização, Aldo nocauteou três adversários, o campeão do The Ultimate Fighter Jonathan Brookins no WEC 36, Rolando Perez no WEC 38, tendo ganhado o prêmio de melhor "Nocaute da Noite", e Chris Mickle no WEC 39. Aldo voltou a vencer com um nocaute em 7 de junho de 2009 no WEC 41 enfrentando Cub Swanson, com uma joelhada voadora dupla aos 8 segundos do primeiro round. Aldo se tornou o Campeão dos Pesos Penas do WEC ao nocautear Mike Brown no dia 18 de novembro de 2009 no WEC 44. Aldo vinha de nove vitórias consecutivas na organização, sendo que todas elas terminaram em nocaute. José Aldo foi o vencedor do prêmio de lutador do ano (2009) segundo o famoso site Sherdog. Após a grandes conquistas, Aldo teve uma luta casada com a lenda do WEC e ex- campeão dos pesos penas Urijah Faber, a luta aconteceu no dia 25 de abril de 2010 no WEC 48. Durante a luta, Aldo manteve a mesma estratégia nos cinco rounds, castigando Faber com dezenas de chutes baixos na perna esquerda. Aldo dominou o centro do octógono todo o tempo, conseguindo boas combinações de socos e chutes. A partir do 3º round, Faber não conseguia mais caminhar no octógono, em virtude dos inúmeros chutes bem aplicados por Aldo. Durante o intervalo entre rounds, o treinador de Faber entrou no octógono para carregar Faber e o conduzir ao banco por causa da grande quantidade de chutes recebidos. Aldo ainda teve a chance de levar o combate para o solo, onde passou a guarda, montou, pegou a costas, mas não conseguiu finalizar o combate. Aldo tornou-se o primeiro campeão dos Pesos Pena do UFC, recebendo o cinturão oficial em 20 de novembro de 2010, no UFC 123. Sua primeira defesa havia sido definida para o UFC 125 contra Josh Grispi. Aldo foi forçado a retirar-se depois de sofrer uma lesão no pescoço três dias depois de receber seu cinturão do UFC. Aldo voltou ao octógonto no primeiro evento do UFC realizado em um estádio, o UFC 129 em Toronto, Canadá, contra o canadense Mark Hominick. Aldo venceu por decisão unânime depois de deformar o rosto do seu adversário, estreando no UFC em grande estilo. Aldo teve sua segunda defesa de cinturão no UFC contra Kenny Florian no dia 8 de outubro de 2011 no UFC 136, onde ele venceu por decisão unânime. Aldo lutou contra 3 Chad Mendes no dia 14 de janeiro de 2012 no UFC 142 e venceu por nocaute aos 4:59 do primeiro round, defendendo assim seu cinturão pela terceira vez. Aldo era esperado para enfrentar Erik Koch no dia 13 de outubro de 2012 no UFC 153, porém Koch se lesionou e foi substituído pelo ex-Campeão Peso Leve do UFC e recém chegado na categoria, Frankie Edgar. Porém, Aldo se lesionou e foi obrigado a se retirar da luta. Aldo enfrentou Frankie Edgar no dia 2 de fevereiro de 2013, no UFC 156. Aldo venceu por decisão unânime. Aldo era esperado para fazer mais uma defesa de cinturão contra o recém-chegado na categoria dos penas Anthony Pettis em 3 de agosto de 2013 no UFC 163, porém uma lesão tirou Pettis do evento, e agora Aldo enfrentou Chan Sung Jung e venceu por decisão unânime dos jurados, e manteve o cinturão. Among the more important are pricing programs, advertising, alternative and direct marketing M systems, sales promotions, and personal selling methods. Based on the solid foundation of developing a customer-oriented company, customer acquisition creates the lifeline of sales and return visits vital to a company’s long-term success. The product life cycle model remains an important tool for understanding how to acquire customers. The introduction, growth, maturity, and decline stages of the cycle necessitate careful responses and strategies from the marketing team. Customer acquisition provides a key response to the challenges of competition, especially in the maturity stage of the product life cycle. At every point, companies face the demands of keeping current customers balanced with using tactics to find new customers. In general, three basic forms of customer acquisition are 1. developing existing or new markets, 2. developing existing or new products, and 3. branding programs. y Identifying Markets Customers are acquired through the analysis of existing markets and new markets. New customers can be located in existing markets. Some may be found through the efforts to increase brand switch- ing. Others can be identified when new needs arise as situations change, such as when television programming shifted from analog to digital signals. ANOTACE Základem bakalářské práce je popsat vznik a rozvoj MMA jak v České republice, tak v USA. V práci je věnována pozornost zejména historii MMA, ale najdeme zde i organizace věnující se tomuto sportu a nejlepší zápasníky z obou zemí. Teoretická část je rozdělena na tři velké kapitoly, ve kterých je MMA obecně, MMA v České republice a MMA v USA. Součástí bakalářské práce je i řízený rozhovor se zápasníkem, který si prošel nejen zápasením v České republice, ale i ve Spojených státech.

Abstract The purpose of this dissertation was to examine the use of representations and symbols of Canadian identity within the event coverage produced by the Ultimate Fighting Cham- pionship Corporation, in the context of its two key events, Ultimate Fighting Champion- ship, and Fight Night, produced in Canada. To establish the historical context in which the sport developed in Canada, a narrative historiography of the political and legal struggles that led to the legalization and increas- ing popularity of Mixed Martial Arts, and the UFCC’s version of the sport, in particular. This first major part of the dissertation is contained in Study 1.
