A discussion forum was arranged on 20 July in the Surveyors Learning Centre for HKIS members to share and exchange views on the proposed legislation. The forum was attended by the President, Sr Vincent HO; Legislative Council Member, Sr Hon Tony TSE; office bearers; division chairs; General Council Members; and over 30 other senior members. It started with an introduction by Sr Vincent HO and Sr Hon Tony TSE and a detailed explanation of the proposed legislation by Sr Dr Paul HO, followed by an open discussion among all participants.

As senior members shared their experiences and expertise, participants were able to better understand the implications of this proposed legislation.
