We have usually fared well against the stronger teams in the Our cause has not been helped in recent weeks by a number division this season and the way we started in midweek of injuries, including the knock picked up by Cameron suggested it had the makings of a good evening for us. Unfortunately we conceded against the run of play and the I know this club has a proud tradition of blooding players from dismissal of Kyle Jameson shortly after meant it was always the youth set-up and at only 16 years of age, we are all going to be an uphill battle from that point. excited about Harry’s potential. It is never easy in those circumstances but I was pleased with Harry is the sixth player from the Academy to represent the how the players approached the remainder of the game and first team this season and it is important we show players that kept their focus. a clear pathway exists. Having been around the senior squad The turnaround to today’s game has been quick but it is for a while, I have been very pleased with the maturity and important to emphasise the positives from recent weeks as confidence Harry has shown in his appearances so far and I we prepare to welcome Southend United this afternoon. am looking forward to seeing him develop as a player. It’s always exciting to write, most of all about the Shots – I have improved greatly since last time out. Being encouraged by several personnel and supporters alike, that was the first step to an improvement in my writing and overall, how I approach different projects. I must therefore thank (not least using the Role of Thanks on the following page), but here and for most in advance; here. I have been supporting the Shots for roughly nine years now – I know it’s a short time but I cannot describe my passion and love for Aldershot Town Football Club.

WWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWELCOME Good afternoon and welcome to our Northern Premier League game against league leaders Warrington Town. We would like to extend a warm welcome to their players, officials and supporters along with the match officials and hope they enjoy their visit. It is the best part of a month since we shared the points with Morpeth in our last home game and a lot has happened since then. The disappointing FA Cup exit at Skelmersdale was followed by the frustration of our home game against Gainsborough having to be postponed the day before as a precaution following Covid concerns around the visitors. The pandemic continues to have a big impact on our league at the moment with three clubs currently not being able to play for a short period of time. I am sure all other clubs send them their best wishes whilst hoping it is a situation they can avoid themselves. However, the season has taken a turn for the better in the last week with our first win of the season coming in con- vincing fashion at Grantham last Saturday which was then followed up by a hard earned point at FC United in mid- week. Warrington have made another excellent start to the season and arrive at Giant Axe with a three point lead at the top of the table having won five and lost one of their seven games to date.
