We will have to be at our best again today.

The game on Tuesday against Tiverton was a great performance and to win 3-0 really showed our dominance. The lads really are playing as a united team at the moment defending well and taking their chances when the opportunity arises.

With spirits high this should give us a final push over the remaining games I am keeping my notes short this this season. If we can stay positive and afternoon as I feel some action shots focused we should at the very least make are needed showing off the talents of the Playoffs. We are now unbeaten in the players. I do enough talking on the seven games and this is giving us great sidelines! momentum. Enjoy the game! We are all aware that the midweek Corby looking pleased after scoring! attendances of late haven’t been as high as we would all like but the terrible Tom weather has played its part in that and our own home form until the last few games at least hasn’t been too special but I have no doubt that the vastly improved results and performances of late will soon bring the fans flocking.

We all really appreciate the support we get from all the fans. Make some noise again this week, it does make a massive difference to the players.

Welcome to today’s game and to our visitors from Frome. We wish you a safe journey home.

This week my meandering thoughts have included these three strands … Following the death of the late great Gordon Banks, THE BEST I like millions of others have watched again his amazing save from Pele in the 1970 World Cup. Both Pele and Banks thought it must be a goal, but somehow Banks kept it out and England’s hopes alive, at least until Jairzinho’s winner in the second half. When I watched the save on ‘Youtube’, it was contained in a selection of “impossible” saves, COACHES which led me to thinking about how we use the word “impossible” rather lightly. Also this week, I found myself talking with a man who shocked somebody recently, because he (like me) believes in the “God of the impossible” who acts supernaturally and isn’t constrained by the usual laws of nature. I believe in a Jesus who had power and authority over sickness, AREN’T over nature and even over death itself. He raised other people then, he was raised himself and I believe he raises people still, giving forgiveness of sin and new life in heaven.

The third strand is about love. Thursday was Valentines Day and I like many of us bought my JUST ON beloved a mushy red card. But Valentine’s experience as a Christian leader was anything but mushy: he was executed in Rome on 14 February 269 AD on the orders of emperor Claudius II as his love for others proved very costly.

God’s love and power come together in the death and resurrection of Jesus, in what is THE PITCH sometimes called the ‘the weekend that changed the world’: that’s why the cross of Christ is the primary symbol of the Christian faith. If you’ve ever wondered how God feels about you, or Transport partner of Poole Town Football Club even whether he exists, I encourage you to just look at the cross. 01202 652222 Wishing you God’s best,

Rev David Price (Vicar of St John’s, Poole) 01202 740235 [email protected]

We signed him from Dorchester in January 2012 paying a four figure fee for his services - something pretty much unheard of these days. To say it has been money well spent is an understatement.

He has provided our supporters with so much pleasure over the years. As all Poole fans know Steve has torn a cruciate ligament - the injury all footballers dread due to its devastating impact on life and one’s ability to work let alone playing football.

The club has authorised a crowd funding page for supporters to show Steve their support for him and his family at this very difficult time.

It can be accessed by the following link: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/stevedevlinptfc
