 A timber contract provides the River of Light Foundation the timber harvester rights to this property. These rights will convey to the next Purchaser. A 50/50 profit split between the land owner and the harvest company was agreed upon for any timber harvest. As of the fall of 2015, the River of Light Foundation has verbally agreed to be willing to sell the timber rights back to a future owner for $7,500.

 If landowner builds a camp or house, no logging shall take place within 500 ft of the structure, unless agreed upon.

 The “Crown Touching Method” shall be used by the harvester to identify “crop trees.” which are trees the harvester has deemed appropriate for harvesting. “Timber Stand Improvement” or TSI is a service provided by the harvester to identify and mark crop trees on a 5 year schedule for the determination of which “….crop trees shall be spaced so that their crowns in general should be free from contact with the tops of other trees and should receive a reasonable amount of direct sunlight for good growth.”

 “It is estimated that the existing residual stand will produce quality marketable timber in a 15-year cycle giving sustained yield.” According to the agreement the harvest shall be completed in no fewer than 12 years and no more than 18 years from the agreement.

 Harvests are then agreed to be completed within 1 year from the start date.

 Harvester shall remove “valuable mature trees,” meaning trees of at least 14 inches in Breast Height Diameter.

 Harvester shall leave a residual stand of straight, sound healthy tress of valuable species, as evenly spaced as possible, as well as, producing as little damage as possible to future timber crop.

 Logging roads/trails shall be left in good condition.
