We have poly bird feeders and outdoor furniture that are virtually maintenance free. They will never need painting, or winter storage. They will not rot, rust, and are UV stabilized against fading. Saturday offers horse and carriage rides ($), visits with Santa (complimentary pictures for children), craft demonstrations, complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, and a live Christmas tree sale. December 1 – Holiday Tree Lighting, Hufnagle Park, 7:00 pm December 1-18- Festival of Trees. A festive display of 25 decorated Christmas trees in downtown Lewisburg. December 2 – Late Shoppers Night. All stores open late, most until midnight. Free gift wrapping offered at ProCare Physical Therapy and the Tree Festival. 7:00pm free holiday movie at the Campus Theatre. December 10 –Have breakfast with the Grinch & the Lewisburg Sunset Rotary, 8am – 11am at the Lewisburg Club. Enjoy a pancakes and toppings bar, continuous showing of the Grinch movie, and a special reading of the book at 10:30am. Free holiday movies at the Campus Theatre at 4:00pm December 17- At noon visit with Santa at the Campus Theatre, followed by a bike giveaway and free movie. www.lewisburgpa.com December 1-23: BTE Presents Every Christmas Story Ever Told & TreeFest Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s Holiday Show- Three under-prepared actors make a hysterical attempt to tell all of your favorite Christmas stories in just under 90 minutes, featuring (insert your favorite Christmas song/movie/book/ tradition here)! A high-speed holiday romp for the whole family! Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30pm; Sundays at 3:00pm. Also, BTE's TreeFest takes place through December 4. This holiday festival of over 130 live, decorated trees also offers handmade crafts for sale, a variety of live, local entertainment, a children’s craft area, Chinese auction, and cafe. Master musicians who made their names on the Windham Hill label, pianist Liz Story, singer and instrumentalist Barbara Higbie, and guitarist Sean Harkness have created a special show in celebration of Winter Solstice. Warmth, humor and stunningly pristine performances abound. The significance of Winter Solstice is recognized in indigenous traditions around the world. This concert brings the best of acoustic music to joyfully welcome the solstice. www.Bucknell.edu/WeisCenter Lewisburg December 2-3: Rock-N-Read-Athon Beginning at 3pm on the first Friday in December (in conjunction with the Late Night Shoppers event in Lewisburg), we have a 24-hour reading marathon to promote literacy and raise funds for the Donald L. Heiter Community Center’s programs. Every 15 minutes a new participant takes over the rocking chair and reads their favorite stories. Traditionally, this event is held in a downtown storefront. This year, we will be located in both the Barnes & Noble Bookstore and the Open Door Gallery at 430 Market Street. If you are interested in reading, contact the Donald L.
