How about experiencing Japanese traditional culture wearing Kimono?
No need to prepare anything for Kimono dressing, all items are included. (10:00 - 16:00) We, Kyogokoro, are within walking distance of Heian Shrine (Handicraft Center shop) or within walking distance of Nijo Castle (Nijo-jo shop) Please choose the shop, Kyogokoro Handicraft Center shop or Kyogokoro Nijo-jo shop. Reservations in advance are needed for all courses. Please note that all the indicated prices are not including tax.
Special offers for the groups (more than 20 people in Kyoto and 30 people in areas other than Kyoto), we can dress you in Kimonos at any city in Japan. Reservations for groups are available at any time even out of business hours. Please refer to the Group Arrangement section on the following pages.

Your baggage will be delivered to your hotel by evening. Please return the Kimono to the reception desk at your hotel by the next morning. Special Arrangements for the Group
As a special offer for groups, we can dress you in a Kimono (Yukata) at a city in Japan as you like. We offer Kimono (Yukata) dressing for reception parties, banquets, accompanying persons’ programs for international conferences, or cultural experience programs for school trips. You return the Kimono at your hotel on the next day so that you can enjoy the Kimono all day long and attend a party or have dinner wearing it.

Reservation and procedure for group arrangements

Experience tea ceremony, then make matcha tea yourself, and enjoy matcha and Japanese sweets. You can have matcha tea and Japanese sweets during shopping or tours. Tea ceremony experience is also available at temple or tea-ceremony house with additional fee.

Practice writing a character you select using brush and ink with instructors, and take home your final work with seal. Experience with instructor’s calligraphy performance is also available.

Fan tossing game
Experience the graceful fan tossing game.
This game was initiated in Kyoto in the middle of Edo period.
Throw the fan to the target and get the points according to the shape or place when dropped.
In the modern days it is genuinely enjoyed as a form of entertainment. It is also a game commonly played with geisha.

Incense ceremony (Monko)
Experience Monko, the art of identifying incense by its fragrance that originated in Muromachi period. In Incense ceremony, sniffing of the incense is expressed as 'listening' to the incense, and as such, it is called monko (in kanji, 聞香 (listening to the incense)). Monko means listening to, appreciating Koboku incense, and distinguishing different types of incense by listening.
