Introdução Este artigo surgiu de uma palestra apresentada durante a 1ª Jornada de Estudos de Adaptação, em novembro de 2013. Durante o evento, o autor, pesquisador na área de jogos digitais e profissional de quinze anos de experiência na área, destacou várias possibilidades de pesquisa na área de adaptações de jogos digitais. Adaptações de jogos digitais é uma área pouco estudada e rica em possibilidades. Neste artigo, tentamos oferecer um ponto de partida para pesquisadores interessados na área. Este artigo começa com uma revisão de estudos recentes da área. Depois, o artigo aponta às mídias mais relacionadas às adaptações de jogos digitais neste momento, seguindo as ligações entre jogos digitais e outras mídias. Após, apresentamos três ramos diferentes para as pesquisas da área: processos de adaptação, transmídia e remidiação. Cada um destes ramos oferece númeras abordagens de estudo. Revisão da literatura Relativa a outras áreas de pesquisa de jogos digitais, existe pouca pesquisa sobre adaptações.
