Initially acquiring a ewe lamb each, from the kilrail flock, and a string of well- bred gimmers from the Tamnamoney, Clogher and Seneril flocks over the next few years. Straidarren Jackass sons selling in 2005 for 3,400gns and grandsons in 2008 for 2000gns. Gimmers sold to 1200gns, with progeny selling at Lanark for 1000gns. Blue Gates Topgun sold 2,000gns at the N.I. Premier sale 2012 to the Ettrick Flock In 2014 Bluegates received its first show championship with a Tamnamoney Tuborg Gold ewe lamb at limavady show getting Champion Texel and Rosebowl Champion of champions& that same year we received 1st place Junior stock ram with Millcomb Vindicator in the NI Flock Competition. 2016 Bluegates gimmers achieved the two highest prices at the January Gems sale (2000gns &1400gns).
